Tucked away in the Ramapo Mountains on a perch overlooking the Hudson, Patriot Hills Golf Club in Stony Point feels far but it’s conveniently only an hour’s drive from the city. The golf course tumbles across dramatically rolling hills, providing views that span the Hudson Valley. Don’t let the 6,485 yards on the scorecard fool you, the daunting elevation changes make the course feel much longer. Walkers should be forewarned that this mountainous golf course is nearly impossible on foot. You can expect a few approaches to uphill greens but more often you’ll be faced with intimidating shots from elevated tees, which loom more than 200 feet above the severely contoured fairways below. The Patriot Hills layout is a formidable test but players of any skill level can appreciate the meticulous care that went into crafting each hole.

Good Morning, Sunshine!
Early-ish season round. Early morning tee time. Recently aerated greens. Lite breeze. Drenching sunshine. It made for a great 4:15 round of golf. Tee boxes and fairways in perfect shape. All traps and surroundings left a little ‘unkempt’ - on purpose - to match the rough natural vegetation that surrounds (Hugs!) the fairways. This course will test ur mental toughness!
Enjoy and remember - a 3-wood off the T could be your best decisions all day. Control is key!

Pace of play was horrendous. 5 hrs & 15 min to play 18 holes!
As good as it gets
As good as it gets for public golf in the tri-state area. Phenomenal layout with a unique challenge on every hole but very playable and fair. Conditions are as pristine as you will find at any public course short of Bethpage Black, without the hassle and tee time scam they run at Bethpage. 6150 from the blues plays a lot longer than it sounds. Tips are TOUGH from 6500 with a bunch of challenging approaches. Greens always seem to be in great shape. Tee boxes and fairways too. Rough can be thick in places but usually well manicured and playable. Lots of elevated tee shots. You cannot walk this course... you'll see. Great views, deer, hawks, palisades parkway, etc. My favorite local course.
Amazing Hilly Golf Course
Patriot Hill was a pleasure, starter very friendly, great practice range, course was in excellent shape, greens very true and great roll, course located in hilly region with amazing elevated tee box views, very enjoyable and challeging round of golf, be back soon
Worth playing
Greens were fast and fair. Fairway were in really good condition for the beginning of the year. Rough was also in good shape. Bunkers weren’t well raked but it old have been partially from the players in front of us.
Patriot Hills always delivers...
Blustery Sunday afternoon round. First thing... Patriot has a great driving range about 60 ft from the carts and starter and parking lot.. so never a rush to get in practice before ur round. Course was in excellent condition from tee to green... Only 38 minutes from UWS of Manhattan by car and lots of deer and rabbits roaming the course so you get that out of the city round feel.. I love Patriot... great 19th hole food and bar for post round... give it a shot, you will like it...
