About
Tucked away in the Ramapo Mountains on a perch overlooking the Hudson, Patriot Hills Golf Club in Stony Point feels far but it’s conveniently only an hour’s drive from the city. The golf course tumbles across dramatically rolling hills, providing views that span the Hudson Valley. Don’t let the 6,485 yards on the scorecard fool you, the daunting elevation changes make the course feel much longer. Walkers should be forewarned that this mountainous golf course is nearly impossible on foot. You can expect a few approaches to uphill greens but more often you’ll be faced with intimidating shots from elevated tees, which loom more than 200 feet above the severely contoured fairways below. The Patriot Hills layout is a formidable test but players of any skill level can appreciate the meticulous care that went into crafting each hole.

Patriot Hills
Patriot hills is great the only down side I would say is for average players your never really hitting off flat ground it’s a very hilly course but it’s has a great layout perfect greens I recommend anyone to play it if you play later in the day it’s not as expensive and you don’t wait as much I wanted 1 hole and it was the 18th yesterday play this course before the season ends

No one is at the course while I was playing. Thank God, but a hot day made me to loose confidence and concentrate. Anyhow, it was real fun to play empty every single hole at that moment.

Awesome course
Great layout with challenging green complexes and narrow fairways. Only complaint is that the greens are a little beat up at this point in the season. Patriots Hills was a true 5 star experience

Greens need more care.
Greens are getting slower and have too many ball marks unrepaired.
Greens were super fast around April and it was super fun.
It was really slow during June and gave me some disappointment.
And this time, in August, the greens had a moderate speed.
I choose to play at patriot hills for the nice layout and the fast greens.
No doubt one of my favorite courses to play.
I think for what I paid, a twilight fee, it's a bargain
But I'm hesitant to pay the weekend price or the full price on weekdays.
If greens were maintained to be faster, then I would consider paying the higher price, but otherwise, I would choose a different course.

Great Layout
The Patriot Hills golf course is one of the nicest courses in the Lower Hudson Valley - a nice driving range - well organized - nice layout - greens roll true - fairways in good shape - opening up one or two additional holes to your cart works very well to speed things up and they have done so.

Course was in great shape. Although it hadn’t rained in over a week alot of holes were cart path only. No rangers in site an pace of play was at a standstill. We bailed after 12 holes and there were parties standing around waiting while those who were playing were spending wayyyyy too much time looking for lost balls. Would have been better is someone kept them moving.

Always Good
Great layout, and always good conditions. Almost every hole has an elevated tee box with an awesome view.
Only one knock on the conditions. The areas surrounding the bunkers need work. Otherwise, the fairways are like you see at a private club, and the greens roll nice.
