About
Tucked away in the Ramapo Mountains on a perch overlooking the Hudson, Patriot Hills Golf Club in Stony Point feels far but it’s conveniently only an hour’s drive from the city. The golf course tumbles across dramatically rolling hills, providing views that span the Hudson Valley. Don’t let the 6,485 yards on the scorecard fool you, the daunting elevation changes make the course feel much longer. Walkers should be forewarned that this mountainous golf course is nearly impossible on foot. You can expect a few approaches to uphill greens but more often you’ll be faced with intimidating shots from elevated tees, which loom more than 200 feet above the severely contoured fairways below. The Patriot Hills layout is a formidable test but players of any skill level can appreciate the meticulous care that went into crafting each hole.

Great Course
Really fantastic course. Exceptionally well maintained. Worth the price. The restaurant is closed but there is a halfway house accessible at the first and turn.

Breathtaking
Until you see it for yourself, the beauty of this course is something else. Each hole is so beautiful, looking to the pin & looking back up to the tee box. Surrounded by nature at it's best on every turn to each hole, beautiful . The tee starter was excellent at giving us tips on each hole, staff were friendly. Got to hit a few balls at their range.
Will be back for sure!

very hilly tough course
The course is very hilly and very scenic with long rides between tees. Good halfway house after ninth hole with frankfurters and sandwiches. Lots of blind shots, uphill ,sidehill and downhill shots.. Greens are large, in good shape and difficult to read. fairways are ok , not country club level, but good for a fee for play course. Traps are good (and there are plenty of them strategically placed)
but not raked even though rakes are on the carts. Screens on carts are helpful for distances and directions.
4 1/2 hour round for four good players playing quickly because of difficulty of course and distances between tees. You cannot walk this course

Nice track!
Course is in good shape except for the ballmarks on the greens. Traps weren’t raked either. Not a long course nor is it too challenging if you keep it in the fairway. Pace is pretty good. Enjoyable round. Lots of hills and undulating greens.
