Dinas Powis Golf Club

A couple of poor holes but a quality course which would challenge anyone. Had 4 weeks of lovely dry weathe but greens wete well watered and you could challenge them rather than bump and run. Really enjoyed. I played early so was dissapointed i couldnt get a drink at the bar when i finished. Only downside. Recommend

Course was in good condition. Played couple of times with no issues.

Nice course,some challenging holes. Enjoyed the round and was impressed by course condition. Tees best I’ve seen this year.All members met very friendly

The course overall is great.

We found some of the greens challenging due to drainage hole being drilled. We fully understand why this was done, so no complaints)

The only criticism that we could possibly make was the location of the 15th tee?

After playing the 14th you have to walk back to the 15th tee to then tee off over the 14th green.

This could cause a lot of congestion at busier times. (Small quibble i know).

We didn't get to use any of the facilities after as nothing was open, so unable to comment.

Overall though a more than satisfactory day and would happily play here again.

Great course, like most great if you strike a ball you will enjoy it.

Some amazing holes . Lot of hitting over other people wouldn’t like to play here if busy some greens a bit bare

Really enjoyed playing Dinas Powis. The course was in fantastic condition and it’s a great test without feeling overly punishing.

I also had a long chat with the groundskeepers while I was there, who were brilliant. You can tell they genuinely care about the course and take a lot of pride in keeping it looking and playing as well as it does.

The staff were really welcoming throughout and the whole place had a friendly feel to it. A lovely course, great people and definitely somewhere I’d be happy to play again.

Well maintained course with some excellent holes, good drainage, challenging and great value.

I used to be a member here and hadn’t played it for a few years. Went and played it today and it’s a lot better than I remember! The lower part of the course was very well maintained. I’m still not a fan of the 8th / 12th and 13th however the rest of the holes are fantastic

I’ve seen mountain goat tracks in better condition. Course is an absolute joke with so many holes where you lose a ball after a perfect drive as nothing will stay on the fairways and most of the par 3s would not be out of place on a pitch and putt course. On top of that I have never seen a course layout that seems to have as its primary objective getting players to be hit by a golf ball that you will never see coming. Do your self a favour and save your time and money and avoid it.

Fairways were absolutely unplayable such a shame, paid £52 and feel like I’ve been ripped off

I’d seen the positive reviews of this course and wanted to give it a go myself. The pro shop was well stocked with a range of golfing essentials and the pro himself was really friendly and welcoming. The course was challenging but well laid out. Tight drives in places with undulating fairways and greens to make you earn your scores. I walked the course with a light bag but was breathing heavily going up some of the hills but the sights and scenery that came with it was worth the huffing and puffing.

Played this golf course many times over the year but not for the last 4/5 years..Unfortunately,possibly due to the weather.Some of the fairways were in terrible condition with on hole the grass was 3/4 inches on the fairway.

I think changing £26 was a bit steep due to some of the holes..
