Excellent course & Great value
Played this with 2 friends and will definitely go back. The course was varied, interesting and in great condition with some spectacular holes. Course was empty on a Thursday afternoon too !
All the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a practice green but Just a shame there wasn’t a driving range but there is a small 150 yard practice area (pick up your own balls)
Saved £16 on green fees each, using Golf Now to book
Place of play
Amazing course one of the best in Swansea but pace of play is a massive problem had to walk off after 9 holes as I took 2hrs 45 minutes due to slow play and at one pony being 3 groups on the 8th tee box
Hillside gem
The course was in great shape and a real credit to the greenkeepers. I found the Pro shop staff and members all very friendly. The course layout offers a decent challenge over many varied holes where club selection and course management is key. Highly recommend Pontardawe and I’ll definitely visit this hilly parkland gem again soon.
Nice course with a friendly welcome
Really enjoyed first round there today. Nice welcome to the course from the pro and other members also who were super friendly. Nice course layout although not a massive fan of the first hole tee shot.
Excellent course to visit
Following the golf clubs captains week , the course was in great conditions with lovely greens, nice course with great views , some hard walking between holes , but well worth it
Always good value
Course ix always well looked after. Its challenging for all levels of golfer. Fitness levels need to be good if your not using buggy. I always enjoy. Im 13 handicap and posted 84 last week.
Poor communication
Phoned course on Monday and buggies were allowed, also no mention 2 holes were out of play. Booked through Golfnow and phoned course next day to book buggy. Buggies were banned so one of our group of 3 could not play. Course was dry and could see no reason for ban. Even though we went into the Pro shop were not told 2 holes were out of play until we played up one and found no flag, then were told by another group.
Very poor communication!
fabulous course.
This course ar Pontadawe never fails to impress. Always manicured and always improving the quality of the course. Well layed out and a test for all levels. Love playing there.
Friendly staff and members
First time playing there and honestly as a high handicapper it was a lovely course to play. Challenging without feeling out of my depth. A few members were on the course the same time, and played through (I wasn’t hitting at my best) but they were happy to stop and chat and offer some advice about the holes and course.
Arrived a little late for the tee time, but the staff were happy to let me play straight off without penalty.
Nice course
Good variety in holes, some of which are very memorable. Course was in good condition though the grass on tees was a bit long.
Excellent value for money, will be back.
