Great Swansea Valley Course
Great 4 baller after work on a Friday, course wasn't to busy and in good condition. Bar staff were very pleasant after the round as well.
Sunny Sunday at Mond
First time playing at Mond and I was very impressed. The club facilities were some of the best I have seen, plenty of nets with a putting green and chipping area all in one place. Really friendly staff who couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome and ensure we knew to enter our car details for the car park and, knew our way around. It was a stunning day and the course is clearly well looked after and had some lovely fairways/greens etc. Everyone we encountered on the day were friendly and polite.
We went to the clubhouse afterwards and although we didn’t eat, the smell from the kitchen was outstanding, will definitely have food when I return for another round. Prices were very reasonable and again, members and staff were very friendly. Overall we had a great experience for a reasonable price and would highly recommend.
Good course but beware of the buggies
The Mond Is a well setup and challenging course that will test your golfing abilities. My only complaint is the amount of golfers on golf buggies that get very impatient with golfers that are walking the course. On a few occasions we have had balls hit in to us without any warning or call of Fore with one missing my friend by a matter of inches.
Eltel
Cracking coarse great condition would recommend it especially if you’re struggling with walking nice and flat
Mond Valley
Really enjoyed playing here, the lady in the golf shop was super helpful and friendly as were the other staff in the bar. Course layout was well signposted. Definitely play again and at £22 absolute bargain.
Great course, Good value
First time playing this course and I would definitely go back and play again.
The weather was glorious on this day which obviously made the golf that little bit better.
The back 9 are my personal favourite with the 12th to the 14th being the highlight
Great value for money
A round only cost me £15 was brilliant, greens were smooth course was lovely a lot of flat holes with some blinds, overall great course worth a try, staff are brilliant also
Very rough around the edges !
Good size car park and friendly staff in shop
Decent practice nets which looked new however practice putting was awful
1st tee was half way down the fairway and was a winter mat.
The 10th and 18th had no mats and we had to tee off from the fairway.
A lot of crossings and waiting on the course. About 5 of the greens were decent, the rest were poor.
Nice setting and I would imagine it would be ok in season
Expensive for what was on offer!
Horrific condition
I've been a member here previously, the condition when I played yesterday with a friend was awful, 16 out of 18 greens were temporary greens at 10:56 am tee time.
If we hadn't have had a hot deal for £18:99, we would have been paying £28 which I think is terrible value for money.
Really not an enjoyable experience on this particular day.
Average at best !
Prices were more expensive than I had been led to believe, and not VFM compared to other local courses.
The lady in the shop was friendly, however there were no bar/ catering facilities available as they are closed on Mondays.
There were three new practice nets which was good, but no practice putting green in use.
The tees in general were good, however some had box tees that were in poor conditions and slippery
The fairways were decent and manicured
The greens were poor, albeit they had recently been scarified. The bunkers were very poor.
I might be back in the summer, however not a good first impression.
El tel
Played this course a few times always enjoyed not this time unfortunately this is wrong time of year to play lot of wet areas some temporary greens any ball slightly off line took an age to find with all the leaves covering the ground will be back next year in the summer
Not great
Pros - not as wet as we were expecting.
Cons - Clubhouse and pro shop not open at 9am on Saturday morning, therefore no way of buying refreshments or balls/tees before the round. Putting green condition shocking. Short course, still took 4 hours 20 mins to finish. At least 3 holes tee off directly over another green/fairway, consequently, felt a bit like a war zone constantly ducking for cover.
