Neath Golf Club

We booked a hot deal and drove down from Cardiff, Neath GC did not disappoint. Friendly welcome in the pro shop and great warm up facilities. An amazing course coupled with beautiful views over Neath and Port Talbot. Greens were in immaculate condition and fairways were lovely also. We will be visiting again.

I booked a hot deal around lunch time expecting my round to be reasonably quick but in fact I had a 4 directly ahead of me. The car park and first 2 holes are almost directly up into the hills. This makes for a challenging start with a pull trolley! Despite the hills I found the first 5 holes very slow because of the players already on the course. To some extent it was good to have people ahead as I could not recall the lay out.

After the 8th I was able to go through thanks to the generosity of the 4 ahead and after that the round went well as there were 2 holes for me to catch up the next 4 ball.

I found the 10th/11th holes particularly challenging as I couldn't watch the group ahead and there is no indication of where your ball is if you are not very accurate with your drives.

The course was in good condition generally but the grounds staff had hollow tined and slit and sanded the greens so putting was not very predictable.

The weather made the day, as it was warm for September and there was no wind and a clear sky.

4 1/2 hours was a bit long I thought and i had to leave at the end of my round so I didn't check on the bar although it looked well appointed. Directions to the locker room were not very clear!

Very challenging golf course with every green having major slopes to contend with..Amazing views from all over the golf course..

Great course and would recommend playing it..

Loved this course - got a great deal from Golfnow so it was excellent value for money. Worth playing just for the views and the course itself is is a great layout and quite challenging particularly off the tee.

Good course in really good condition, tough conditions and tough greens

The gentleman behind the bar was an absolute star and a credit to the club.

What a fabulous course people were so friendly,greens were superb and views breathtaking what more do you want from a golf course.

Always try and play this golf course at least once a year.

Every hole has a different look and challenge.

Every green has a slope and there all in great condition..

If you play this golf course i guarantee you will want to play it again..

First time on this course and blown away by the brilliant greens. Course in great condition for the time of year and recent weather. A warm welcome from everyone I met on the course and in the club too. Will be back

First time playing at Neath, considering it was the middle of winter and we had some bad weather the course was in excellent condition.

A nice blend of holes and friendly members who were helpful

Only played 14 holes as pace of play was horrendous. Nobody monitoring it.

Course was not in the best condition due to the dry weather we have had, greens were ok.

Could be better signage around the course as not so easy to find your way when playing for the first time, especially with blind holes.

Would be disappointed playing in the current state at full price.

Staff were very friendly as were the members.

Course in excellent condition for early May. A challenging course with fantastic views. Up and down so you need to be fit to play here!

The course surpassed my expectations interesting design, a myriad of challenges and great views. Friendly and professional staff

The course was in very good playable conditions even after a harsh wet winter. The greens were fast. Lots of up and down hills. Many blind shots, and hidden brooks that catches you out easily. So rather challenging especially playing it for the first time. Staff and members were ever so friendly.

Had to think your way round much of the course, whereas a couple were drive and chip. Course was in excellent condition given the time of year, and staff and members were all friendly. Highly enjoyable round of golf.

Good condition for the time of year. Would want to play it again. Especially in the summer. Golf Now should’ve told us trolleys are banned in winter tho as the members took a disliking to one of our group with a trolley. Also club house was closed so couldn’t have a drink but it was winter.
