Ridge Golf Course at Pole Creek Golf Club
About
Pole Creek Golf Club is a public 27-hole golf facility in Tabernash, the only one of its kind in Grand County. The holes are divided into three par-36, nine-hole courses, which can be played in different 18-hole combinations. You'll get a different set of challenges on each course but they each provide a classic round of Colorado mountain golf. On no other nine is this more apparent than the dramatic Ridge Course. As its name would imply, the layout features several dramatic ups and downs. Accuracy is key and having a good strategy is equally important. Golfers will also have to contend with tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers along the greens, not to mention the occasional water hazard. The other two nines, the Meadow and the Ranch, are more mellow and approachable.

simply amazing
Pole creek is an amazing course...my friend and I played the meadow front and ridge back....this course had great elevation changes and views...well manicured also....usual round costs100$ we played it for 17$ each from golf now....tee off was 4:20 pm hence the cheap rate we finished in plenty time before dark
Pole Creek
Course was very beautiful. Nice views, wildlife, wild flowers, overall very appealing. Course itself is challenging and demanding off the tee. If you are in the fairway, it plays easier. If you miss the fairway....good luck. Greens are good sized and not many straight putts. Would love to go again now I know some of the lines off the tee. Also, if you are not used to the elevation, watch your club choice, the ball flies at over 8000 ft!
Breathtaking
The course was a joy to play. The fairways and greens were absolutely beautiful and the scenery was out of this world. Wild flowers and mountain views were on all sides on each hole.
Pole Creek July 2015
Second time I have played this course, loved it both times. Beautiful setting up near Winter Park, CO. I hope to come and play this course at least once a year because it is well worth the 2 hour drive from Denver. Both times I have played it the course was in excellent condition.
Always a good day at Pole Creek
I've played Pole Creek at various times over 25 years. The course was in good shape, as it usually is. Like the other Grand County courses, Pole Creek has reached a point where the regular fares are out of my price range so I don't play there as often as I would like. But it remains an excellent place to play when I can get a discount through golfnow.com or another website.
ideal colorado golf venue
I'm still trying to figure out how to play certain holes on the course. I've played the course a half dozen times over the last ten years and still consider it one of the prettiest courses. Love having to let the deers play thru the fairways.
Interesting mountain course
Good solid facility, three nines, scenery spectacular, practice area nice, course in good shape the greens even better, tough course to walk, well worth the trip up from Denver, restaurant has very good food. My only criticism is the cart paths are dirt - feels like I am covered with an inch of dust after the round. Would recommend!
Pole creek golf couese
Very nice and beautiful.
Course marshals were cool not over powerful like some courses. Very taken care of, I did have to skip a hole because they were working on a bunker next to the green and I knew that's right were my ball was headed. Overall best course in winter park.
Terrific course with challenges
This course will make you think where you want to place, if you can, your ball. It's in terrific shape, the greens were very challenging
Beautiful Mountain Course
It was 100+ degrees in Denver, so decided to head up into the mountains for some cooler golf. Had a super cheap hot deal, so jumped on it, a bit of a drive, but it is a very pretty drive, just figure plenty of time to get there.
Course is in among some nice houses, the clubhouse is very nicely done, the staff was super friendly, and includes driving range.
Got paired up with someone who lived in the area, so got some tips through the round from him. Course is a bit challenging for the first timer, it is a bit hard to know where the course goes. There are a lot of blind shots with lots of doglegs both left and right. Also lots of native grass that is very deep, so it is very challenging. I would definitely score better having played the course once or twice. Conditions were very good, a little bit wet in a few spots, but with all the rain in the last few weeks.
I enjoyed it, it is worth the drive from Denver if you have time
Staff not happy with Golf Now reservations
No 9hole raincheck available (rain & lightning) after booking/paying on GolfNow. Staff said we didn't pay them, so tough, try to get a raincheck from GolfNow.
A mountain course must-play!
Great course, with three distinct nines--the Ridge is my favorite, with frequent elevation changes and some challenging blind shots. Well worth the drive from Denver, especially on a hot summer's day.
Pole creek
Views were amazing ,greens where slow and bumpy good putts were not rewarded,
Gotta Love Pole Creek!
Pole Creek is one of my favorite courses in Colorado and it was in great shape for the middle of October. The staff, as always, were courteous and helpful and the condition of the course was outstanding, looking like it might as well have been July instead of late fall. Great price, nice pace of play and beautiful surroundings, as well as playing better than usual, made this my most enjoyable round of the year. I give Pole Creek my highest recommendation!
Incredible views
A perfect fall day in the Colorado mountains. Brilliant shades of yellow on the Aspens. Course was in great condition - greens a little slower than usual but in prime shape. Tee boxes well maintained, as were the fairways. It was hard to put down the camera to hit the ball as the views are stunning.
Always Great
I love to play here. It's a treat for my wife and I and we look at it that way. We can't afford to do it very often, so if we want to treat ourselves or impress our friends we invite them to Pole Creek. Awesome track, and the views are spectacular.
Superb golf and mountain setting
Played using Golf Now discount rates that are fair for the quality of the course/facilities during the afternoon hours starting at 2PM when frequent storms roll in. For twenty minutes we had wind and sheets of rain that made play nearly impossible but then it cleared and the rest of the day was fine, especially concluding the round with a beer in the welcoming clubhouse as the sun began to drop below the mountain range to the west. The Ridge nine is a wonderful track with elevation changes and great scenery/wildlife presence.
27 beautiful holes
This is a beautiful and challenging course. We played all 27 holes in the day and really enjoyed the whole thing. Pace of play was great for a busy Saturday and the course was in great condition. I will definitely be planning another trip back!
