Ridge Golf Course at Pole Creek Golf Club
About
Pole Creek Golf Club is a public 27-hole golf facility in Tabernash, the only one of its kind in Grand County. The holes are divided into three par-36, nine-hole courses, which can be played in different 18-hole combinations. You'll get a different set of challenges on each course but they each provide a classic round of Colorado mountain golf. On no other nine is this more apparent than the dramatic Ridge Course. As its name would imply, the layout features several dramatic ups and downs. Accuracy is key and having a good strategy is equally important. Golfers will also have to contend with tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers along the greens, not to mention the occasional water hazard. The other two nines, the Meadow and the Ranch, are more mellow and approachable.

Golfer Reviews
Superb golf and mountain setting
Played using Golf Now discount rates that are fair for the quality of the course/facilities during the afternoon hours starting at 2PM when frequent storms roll in. For twenty minutes we had wind and sheets of rain that made play nearly impossible but then it cleared and the rest of the day was fine, especially concluding the round with a beer in the welcoming clubhouse as the sun began to drop below the mountain range to the west. The Ridge nine is a wonderful track with elevation changes and great scenery/wildlife presence.
27 beautiful holes
This is a beautiful and challenging course. We played all 27 holes in the day and really enjoyed the whole thing. Pace of play was great for a busy Saturday and the course was in great condition. I will definitely be planning another trip back!
You won't be disappointed
The Ridge is a great course. Beautiful holes. Each hole gets better and number 9 is the best. Challenging but fair. Perfect conditions. Bring a camera along.
Great Value
Fun course. Somewhat difficult because of the amount of bunkers. Also, you need to carry a few shots too. Conditions were decent. My only problem was the beer cart only came around 1 time throughout the hole round. That's a problem. Other than that great value and enjoy the 9th hole on the ridge. Simply breathtaking
Well worth the trip
The greens are superb. The views are spectacular. The layout is excellent. We had a great time.
Pretty good for the price/May be slow depending on the courses
I was scheduled to play the Ranch and Ridge however when we got to the Ridge side there were two groups waiting on the tee box and our round would have exceeded 5 hours putting us into darkness. My partner and I elected to play the Meadows 9 and we were able to finish the round in just over four hours. Overall the courses were in great condition. For a long ball hitter you really have to plan out your shots and spending the money on a course guide would probably be helpful unless you are playing with a local player. There are a lot of doglegs and various carries to navigate around as well as some holes that are fairly narrow if you spray the ball off the tee . You do hit the ball slightly longer up there so take that into consideration if you hit the ball a long ways. My experience was fun and I would play the courses again on a good deal.
Great Course - Prepare for a long round
Just a beautiful course with spectacular views! Conditions were great!
Downside - expect a long round when you go; It's just a lot of golf course for some, and that slows the pace. They do a great job of trying to keep the pace, so no problems there.
Spectacular Views
We golfed twice over a couple's retreat weekend and had a great time. Views are beautiful and the service was great. Will go again.
Stunning Setting
Even after extensive rain added to seasonal snowmelt, the greenskeeper provided a great mountain golf experience. We had a wonderful time playing the Ranch Meadow loop.
Beautiful Views
This is a typical beautiful mountain course. Somewhat long and narrow, It's difficult to have a flat lie.
Bad rain, great course
Springtime in the mountains is rainy, so the only course open was The Ridge. Even though most of the lower courses were flooded, the ridge wasn't too bad. I have to give Pole Creek a pass because the rain was unrelenting prior to booking my round, so I was lucky they were even open. The course is in great shape and the views on the ridge are stunning. Great food and beverages, excellent staff- I will be back when it's a little dryer... But had a great 9 on the ridge.
great course spectacular mountain views
super friendly staff- great condition- great views- my favorite Colorado course so far- a must play!
Champioinship Mountain Golf
It would be fun to see this course host a PGA event -- though handling crowds in the mountains would provide a unique challenge. The fairways and greens are immaculate, the staff expert and friendly. Nice clubhouse, bar & restaurant. Three nines, each with its own challenges, and absolutely spectacular mountain views. Recommended for intermediate to advanced golfers.
Outstanding and Wonderful staff
Nancy in the Pro shop was great went out of her way to found out how everything was at the end of the day. great course and beautiful views.
Fantastic deal on a Fantastic course.
This course was not the toughest I have ever played, but the condition of it, particularly the greens was very impressive, I could putt on them all day !.
The views are quite spectacular, even the splash of rain I had in my round did not dampen my spirits.
If I am fortunate enough to return to Colorado I will indefinitely go back to Pole Creek
