Always Wonderful
I play many courses in this area as a Phoenixville resident and Bella is by far my favorite. Staff is always friendly. The grille is always open for some swing oil before the round and afterwards to tell your stories. The course is always in good shape - great tee boxes, fairways, and greens. The island green is fun and something you start to think about making the turn. If you are a golf fan, you will love Bella.
Great day at Bella Vista
Played as a twosome at 10am on Saturday. Pace was great - short waits on some holes since we had foursomes in front of us but everyone kept moving well. The carts now have a touchscreen GPS which is a nice feature and gives a nice visual of the hole and distance to the pin, not just center of green. Course was in good shape even though it was wet out - challenging and fun. Definitely planning to return soon.
rain shower when I played but I manage to finish my round. The guy from the pro shop is very friendly and accommodating. forgot to asked his name duh! but I think I found a go to course for myself. Course is wide open but don't let it fool you.par 3 14th is around the water nice to be challenge.I'll keep playing this course. I don't mind driving 1 hour from my home. Very happy with this course
holiday bargain
so i saw deal for 16 bucks to play Bella..
course was wer but igreens n great shape.. I was first one out and we played in under tgree hours and beat the winds. temperarure a little chilly (45) but id donit again..
Beautiful day
Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Helpful with any questions you have. Course is in excellent shape and well maintained.
Course was in great shape! Greens rolled true and fast. Great day if golf!
Always loved Bella. This year no exception. Greens are in fantastic shape as is the rest of the course. Dont miss it!
Great value
Got to play Bella on a hot deal in the morning. Paired up with 2 other singles and we finished the round in just over 3 hours. Course was in great shape. Greens were top dressed, but were rolling fast and true. Great value!
Excellent Course
The course is in great shape for being the end of August. The greens rolled true, the fairways were lush, and the scenery was fantastic as always. This course is set up nicely for both the novice and seasoned golfer, and provides a great challenge overall.
disappointed aeration warning not posted
sure wish they had posted aeration warning on GolfNow like most other courses do. Greens were still recovering from aeration... Not like you can ask about it on GolfNow.
Other than that, they need a ranger to speed up weekend hackers who are drinking and betting... and more worried about beer and cighars than pace of play.
Disappointed
Was not advised the greens were aerated and would have thought the rate would be discounted like other courses in the area. The bunkers are terrible for an upscale public course They are very inconsistent.. Some have very little sand and others have so much it goes over the top of your shoes. It is a great layout and fun to play. I don't believe it is worth the prime time rate on the weekends.
Pretty nice course
Had first tee time so I played pretty quick some comments on the course at its current state. If you're use to playing out of short rough you're going to be in for a surprise. I'm not sure the rough is as long as it is because they want it that way or they're having a tough time keeping it cut because it was pretty short in some areas and brutal in others. Course isn't very long even from the back tees its only 6400 yds with not a ton of trouble aside from the rough.
The greens were very slow for the price and condition of the rest of the course. If you're a local and don't mind paying extra for a nicer than your average course it's a decent value, but for me it's a little of a hike and felt it was a little on the expensive side.
This is a Must play!
For anyone that never played this course, GO!!!! The layout is fantastic! You will not be disappointed!
Course conditions are outstanding and I would have given it a 5, If it wasn't for the greens not being lightning fast like normal. They roll true but just not as fast as normal. Actually baffling my buddy and me. maybe they just weren't as dry as we thought.. do not let that deter you from going because it's that special!
Great shape
Course was in excellent condition. It's a challenging course. Have to be in the fairway, but you use most of your clubs. Good time playing there.
Great course
First time here, got it in a Hot Deal for $30. It's regularly $50. Arrived early and were rewarded by being able to go out right away. We might have been the first 4some out. Course was in great shape, fairways were nice and the greens were fast. Have to say the rough was pretty brutal though, the idea is to stay out of it I guess..lol. played in about 3.5 hrs. It is definitely worth the trip!!!
Fun course
Played a day after it rained. The pro shop gave my father in law a handicap flag( he's 78) and asked that we take it easy on the fairways. Beautiful golf course and the greens were in excellent shape and fast.
agree 100% about the aeration. didn't notice the traps because I was not in them that day :) And I think the courses are using the wet weather as an excuse to save money and not cut as often.... so they could spend some money/time attending to the bunkers / lakes
