great conditions
Conditions well above average for a public course.
Nice Course
First time playing at Bella Vista. Nice track and good conditions. Island green par 3 is fun...not as scary as that at TPC.
Great Course
I booked a hot deal through Golf Now and there was no problems with the tee time and getting everything ready for the round. Course was in good shape. Tee boxes for the most party were pretty flat, only a few holes had a little bit more wear and tear. Course did look a little dry, but that actually helped in shot distances.
I would recommend this course. It is pretty challenging, and the 14th hole island green is a fun tough, challenging hole.
Slow Pace Country Club
Bella Vista is a beautiful, scenic public course for your above average golfers. It's a very relax atmosphere and the food is very good. However, it's imperative that management control the pace of the play, as one bad experience always lingers in one's memory when trying to go back. Setting standards will attract more golfers than not having one.
Golf fan
The course was in magnificent condition. Staff was great and you should add this course on the list to play. Hole 14 is their signature island green. Awesome
always in great shape
for $14 @ 2pm, i'd play this course everyday. Looks like it was hole punched recently but not the greens. healing nicely and didn't affect play. Till next time. ~Rob.
A Golden nugget in the country
This well developed course exceeded my expectations. The greens and fairways were well maintained, and the views on this well-planned development made for a very enjoyable round. Staff and other golfers were very friendly. The huge banquet hall and 19th hole made for a relaxing finish. Prices were also very reasonable. I'd recommend this course to anyone who enjoys challenging golf on a beautiful setting. I will be back.
good but not as good as in past
We played here on a fantastic deal from golfnow on Mothers Day for 24.00. The staff was a bit indifferent to us since we paid such a low rate... At some courses, they do treat you not quite as friendly when you have purchased a really low rate.. We've played here many times in the past but had not been here in the past 2 years..
The greens are very slow now where they used to be smoother and much faster.. The overall course conditions were pretty good.
The back 9 is the harder 9 and the long par 4 13th hole is really tough. The 2 par 3's on the back 9 are also demanding and very strong holes.. When you see a rating of 4.4 for this course on people's reviews...its a bit overhyped.. Bella Vista is an overall nice facility but its certainly no better than a 4.0 at top..
great round
Cheap rounds of golf for thia hidden gem. Greens we're soft, fairways were cut sharp. Just overall a great round. Will definitely play here again being right around d the corner from other golf courses.
Excellent
Was a great round of golf on a nice day. Absolutely worth going back again.
One of the best public courses in the area
I have always enjoyed playing Bella Vista, and a hot deal for just $17 dollars was too good to pass up. Course survived the winter fairly well. Greens are not at 100% yet, but they aerated them on Monday (4/27) so my expectations were not too high. They used small holes so it shouldn't take long to get ride of the bumbs. The rest of the course is in good shape and the layout is top-notch (including an island green par 3). Must play if you are in the area. Better than Turtle Creek, Raven's Claw, Ledrerach or Hickory Valley.
Course had a challenging layout
Some blind shots that make this course very challenging.
Good challenge
Course starts with a tough par 5 and the challenge is just starting. Great deal for the $29 I paid.
Some Quirky Holes
This was my first time at Bella Vista. I was surprised that it was in a housing development. The houses come into play a little bit on a few holes, but there are still houses on the course. I was in a twosome and we got behind a very slow foursome that the ranger should have asked to speed-up. It was a very windy day, so the par 5's were playing very difficult. It is a nice course, but I thought some of the par 3's were a little quirky. I would not pay more than $40 to play the course.
Good challenge
Course was well maintained. Greens had just been dressed with fine sand, still rolled nice.
Beautiful Golf Course
Enjoyable round, this is a MUST play golf course. Links style with an Island Green.
not worth playing
Very poor management and customer relations. Over 5 and a half hrs to play. One member of our group is a hockey referee. It took so long to play because of their poor scheduling that he knew he wouldn't be able to finish the back nine. He asked for a third cart so he could come back to the club house when he had to quit. Oh noooo against policy with no explanation. He offered to pay extra !!!!! OHHH NOOO against policy. He left vowing to never return. We all agreed and will not play there again. We are a group of 8 retired police and attorneys. We play 3 times a week. This is the 1st poor review ive given since I started using golfnow. about 5 years. Several excellent courses in the area.
Nice place to play
Bella Vista,, the right name for it,, I played it yesterday as a guest of an outing. Great shape in all aspects The tee boxes showed alittle wear and tear but that was it. Fairways, greens, sand all in proper form. the only thing that seemed odd to me was the closeness of the houses in some of the locations, kinda felt closterphobic. They have great par 3's the Island green as well as the par 3 by the club house. I'd play this Bella again,, maybe I'llbsee you there !!
