Bella Vista Golf Course

This was my first time at Bella Vista. I was surprised that it was in a housing development. The houses come into play a little bit on a few holes, but there are still houses on the course. I was in a twosome and we got behind a very slow foursome that the ranger should have asked to speed-up. It was a very windy day, so the par 5's were playing very difficult. It is a nice course, but I thought some of the par 3's were a little quirky. I would not pay more than $40 to play the course.

Course was well maintained. Greens had just been dressed with fine sand, still rolled nice.

Enjoyable round, this is a MUST play golf course. Links style with an Island Green.

Very poor management and customer relations. Over 5 and a half hrs to play. One member of our group is a hockey referee. It took so long to play because of their poor scheduling that he knew he wouldn't be able to finish the back nine. He asked for a third cart so he could come back to the club house when he had to quit. Oh noooo against policy with no explanation. He offered to pay extra !!!!! OHHH NOOO against policy. He left vowing to never return. We all agreed and will not play there again. We are a group of 8 retired police and attorneys. We play 3 times a week. This is the 1st poor review ive given since I started using golfnow. about 5 years. Several excellent courses in the area.

Bella Vista,, the right name for it,, I played it yesterday as a guest of an outing. Great shape in all aspects The tee boxes showed alittle wear and tear but that was it. Fairways, greens, sand all in proper form. the only thing that seemed odd to me was the closeness of the houses in some of the locations, kinda felt closterphobic. They have great par 3's the Island green as well as the par 3 by the club house. I'd play this Bella again,, maybe I'llbsee you there !!

Very satisfied with the condition of the course and the friendliness of the staff. Would have liked faster pace of play, but it was very busy.

8:33 tee time. Very challenging, green speed very consistent, excellent course condition and great pace of play (3 hrs., 50 minutes).

Played on a Sunday and got paired up by the pro shop. Took a little over 5 hours to play 18 holes on a Sunday morning. Staff in the shop was friendly. Would play again.

Best public course in the area ! Always in great condition with a great signature island par 3 hole .

Bella Vista has become my favorite course. I could play this course every day and not get bored of it. It is challenging, but not cruel, in excellent condition, the staff is super to work with, and Markley's Grill may be the best golf-course restaurant you will find anywhere.

This course has it all. Some risk and reward holes like #1, 10, and 13. If you can place your shots, you have a birdie. If you have to play it safe, and don't mess up, you get a par. #14 is an island green, it requires a high shot with spin to stick it. #9 is along hole, with a large green sloped left to right... beware! And #18 is a memorable finishing hole, again fair but challenging. Your aim from the tee is toward the grill. Gives you an incentive to get through and go to the bar.

And if you are a wildlife buff, watch out for deer. The last two rounds I saw a doe with to fawns. If you enjoy hills and a scenic view, this course has it.

We had two groups and everyone had a great time. There was a pretty good thunder storm in the middle of our round and we went inside had lunch and drinks which was great. When we went back out to finish the greens and fairways help up very well. I recommend playing this course.

The greens had recently been plugged and sanded so the front 9 was a bit of a mess with the early wet sandy greens relative to evaluating our putting skills. No, we did not know this, but most courses never disclose the topic unless asked - so annoying, but the standard pass on this. This course seems to be a bit preoccupied with receipt slips. It takes a LONG time to pay with no line at all, and they generate 3 slips, 1 for the desk and 1 for the starter. 5 holes into the round we were also asked to show our receipts again, so something really needs fixed on this topic. Overall the course is in good condition, pace of play was great. I still have an issue with the 18th hole being a long downhill par 3 from the blue tees, but that is my issue. Just be prepared for this layout flaw. Yes, I will go back a few times per season, and probably more if I lived closer.

The course is nice and the greens are great. Anyone can make a feet of back spin here. Course design is fine but the Marshalls and Pro are pushy and disrespectful.

Bella Vista had been recommended to me as a 'must play' by a local golfer. I booked a great value through Golf Now and was extremely pleased with the condition of the course. Especially pleasing was the condition of the traps - which I visited a few times. I came out of the Island Green greenside bunker to one foot and almost holed out of another along the round. The sand was plentiful and true. It's not spectacular with great difficulty but very entertaining with a few nuances. Play it !

Bella Vista is truly a must play course & one of the best public courses I have played this year. A friend & myself made the 45 minute drive from Delaware County after hearing several good things from friends.

The course was easy enough to find with our GPS and is built in a housing development. After checking in, the starter went over the course with us and how to play certain holes which was extremely helpful considering it was our first time playing there. The course itself was in great shape. Lots of well placed sand bunkers and tough greens that made for some interesting putts. Overall though, plenty of wide open fairways. Our personal favorite was the island green 14th which I have attached a picture of. Didn't play too long, only about 115 yards but be sure to take the wind into account when selecting a club. (my 110 club nearly flew the green.) The pace of play was fantastic, we played in just a shade over 3 hours and 20 minutes and didn't wait on a single hole. We did not stop for food or drink so I can't speak to that but if it was anything like the course, it is great. It's rare to play a course that is kept in this kind of condition, much less a public one, and will definitely be a regular addition to our frequent play list.

The course was a little beat up. Folks don't fix ball marks and there were many, many unrepaired divots in the fairways. If us a real nice course but the maintenance is slipping as compared with past visits.

There is a short game practice area, but a real range would would add a lot to the overall experience.

Course is beautiful and was in great condition. Staff was friendly. Pace of play was good. Nice variety of challenging, but fair holes. Good value from Golfnow. for a Saturday afternoon early afternoon tee time.
