Killeen Golf Club

I played killeen golf course before and like a good bottle of wine the old it gets the better it gets. A must play course for all levels of golfer.

My friend and I were looking for a nice flat track for a Friday afternoon stroll. That is precisely what we got in Killeen. Very little slope anywhere in this lovely compact course. Quality of greens was fantastic! Thru 6, we felt a little bit ‘cheated’ as the holes were a little bit straight and dull. The tough elevated green on the 7th and the challenging tee shot over water to a shallow green quickly changed our mind on this course. The final ten holes presented all manner of challenge and we’d contend that the closing three were 3 of the most challenging and enjoyable in golf. A particular favourite was the teaser off the tee on 17, with hazard long and right and OOB left. Club up for the 18th tee shot, the back of green is friendly. Overall a lovely course, with just the right amount of hazard and forgiveness for a mid to high handicapper to still have an enjoyable round. Bring extra balls, there’s a lot of well placed water everywhere. Don’t spend on buggy hire, course is flat enough to be able to keep the pace without killing yourself up hills. 8/10 rating from us overall, we had a great day out but just felt there was no real challenge until the 7th hole.

This was my second time playing this course. Both times I've played I've dealt with two different members of staff and they were both as friendly and as helpful as each other. The course itself is in great condition and has a lot of excellent holes.

Enjoyed an afternoon round. Course well maintained With a lot of interesting holes. Friendly staff and members. Lots of water on back nine and 18th hole is a good signature hole. Good value for money.

Really like this course, good test of golf and some interesting holes once you get through the first 5 which are a little up and down. It’s scoreable for high handicappers too my dad is off 26 and loves it there.

Course good, greens good, but pretty slow pace on course

I really enjoyed this course. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The first nine holes are the perfect way to start a game of golf. It's not until hole no.8 that you start to reach the tricky holes of the course , which gives you enough time to warm up.

Great course, tough weather conditions.

Tee pay out confused us.

Staff very friendly. Would recommend and would play again.
