Rainout
The course was nice and well kept, however I
only had the opportunity to play 4 holes.
We were rained out. This was a hot deal. I was
trying to get through to Golf Now to get a
refund, I tried twice to get through, but after
waiting a couple hours on the phone each time
I gave up. I am disappointed with their
service and will think twice about using them
again.
Very nice course
I played (7) holes, then it started raining and had to call it a day; but will definitely go back.
Rain out
Was not reimbursed for rain out was told to go through golf now. Tried calling golf now and was put on hold for over two hours. Have not been able to contact Golf Now.
Best deal ever in panhandle
I have played throughout the country and rate this course excellent. Interesting it is a muni course. Hats off to Ft. Walton and its golf staff. I currently live in Destin and this is now my go to course. Thank you.
Nice relaxing day
Simple straightforward layout. No surprises with the information they give you at the start of the round. Conditions good for a public course that gets a lot of play
Oaks
First of the year, the course was in terrible shape. Crew has worked diligently on the greens, and fairways are filling it. Only knock, greens are still inconsistent (speed wise) Otherwise, a pretty good layout!
Golf Now - Pro Shop
The golf now app does not talk with the proshop for course conditions. Had a reservation to a round through golf now and the proshop said they are walking only and the course I booked is closed.. they should work together with this app for their customers.
OR you could use the actual Fort Walton Beach golf course reservation website itself instead of just assuming that golf now automatically links up . Better yet, go play somewhere else so us members can actually get on OUR course!!
Fun course to play
I enjoyed playing The Oaks. The layout was fun and challenging. The were several holes the driver stayed in the bag(I played from the white tees).
The gentlemen in the proshop were very nice, as well as the starter. They need to find a new course ranger. He was totally worthless. There were two groups that were very slow. I mentioned the slow play to the ranger. He did not address the problem.
The greens and fairways are in good shape. Several of the tee boxes need some TLC.The practice area was excellent.
I look forward to playing The Oaks again!
Nice comment. Now go play your own courses there. We got too many knuckleheads that can't golf here in town the way it is.
