Snowbird golf
Winter golf is a little rough, but course was in decent shape 👌.
Good value
Liked this course better than the Oaks course. More wide open with much less rough areas.
Better layout
Good day
Pines was a fun experience. Some great holes along the river area on both nines. Flat fairways and greens which rolled pretty good for the time of year. Late morning tee time and flew along with no waiting and no push.
Ft Walton
Dormant conditions due to time of year.
A nice layout with 36 holes.
Pace a little slower due to high number of players.
Overall a good experience and would recommend.
Golf
Enjoy playing here and we keep coming back every year to play. It would be nice if you offered a monthly pass. That way all we would have to do is call for a tee time.
A monthly "pass" is not going to make getting a tee time any easier or harder - what a dumb comment! Why not go online to make a tee time - you come here every year of course to get in us residents way so you have to know by now making a tee time is easier online. No wonder tee times are double and triple booked - people like you cause it.
Course in good shape for this time of year.
Husband and wife playing together in front ,SLOW acting like they playing on PGA tour. .
UT48hwyctt8Em6WgrYda,
Sorry to hear your frustrations with pace of play. It is our policy, as well as most other golf courses policy to pair golfers up to complete foursomes. Especially on busy days. We have training scheduled with the marshals over the next couple weeks to insure that we continue to improve pace of play. As far as the course being wet, we do not allow carts out when we feel that it would be detrimental to the golf course's condition. I would welcome anymore of your feedback anytime. Please feel free to reach out to me at jhill2@fwb.org.
Course is not in bad shape but pace of play needs to improve which means QUIT double and triple booking tee times!!!! Had a 3 some that thank goodness they must have quit after 9 holes because they were holding us up and about 4 groups behind us!!! DO NOT let people tee off until their tee time and tell the marshals to get people to move it or get out of the way so others can play thru like many other golf courses locally do! There was even an older woman playing by herself and she was not only horrible at golfing but slow as a turtle! 5 practice swings per shot will not make you a better golfer so go on Eglin Parkway and play Goofy Golf which is obviously more your ability! Not sure why people were playing today with the course so wet; people should not be so selfish - you don't need to make money that bad FWB Golf Course!!!!!!!
My Local Course!
My hubby and I play this course often. We love it! The greens and fairways are in much better shape since I started playing there 2 years ago.
The food/drinks are yummy in the bar/restaurant area.
The only downside are the carts don't have any digital GPS/yardage on them, but that is certainly NOT, a deal breaker for me! 😊👍
Advance warnings of moving T time
When we showed up let us know there was a delay on start due to frost and we let them know that with pushing T times over almost two hours that we will need a rain check for the back 9 since since we couldn’t start on time paid for 18 but could only play the back 9 and they informed us that they wouldn’t provide us with a rain check for the back 9. Disappointing!!!

Was it that cold Friday morning? I don't remember but anyway, if it was that cold, then OBVIOUSLY you know you are not teeing off early in the AM when there is frost. Also, you got your own golf courses where you live - play those and leave FWB to the FWB residents.
Best ball
The course is in great condition, fairways and greens. We are over 80 year old golfers who try and get out once a week for a best ball round.
Over 80's group
The course is on good condition, fairways and greens. Get out and play.
Great course
Always an enjoyable experience.. from checking in to playing one of the best public courses in the area!
