Ive been lucky enough to play a lot of ounces in Ireland and just stumbled across Mountrath yesterday. Have to say it is a hidden gem. The layout is superb with great use of elevations, with holes flowing both left to right and right; greens are strategically placed at angles and elevations. They are quick, subtle and very fair. Worth a visit

Up there with the best greens I've ever putted on. Very nice course, some very challenging shots but a very scoreable course. Difficult to find someone to check us in and no pro-shop is a disappointment but other than that, an enjoyable days golfing

Will definitely be back.

Course was in superb condition for the first week of November , well maintained greens running nice and cut that day. A few leaves but that’s to be expected ! Plenty of work ongoing on the course and tee boxes in great condition.

Mountrath Golf Club is a Hidden Gem, This was my third time back playing this course, The setting is fantastic with some stunning layouts. Yet again the greens were fantastic playing true on every hole. A great test for golfers of all abilities.
