Greens - several are invested with weed grass even though we were told that herbicide had been applied and mowing resumed - unfair to golfers

Fairways- some are bare, others dominated by weeds. Unplayable lies common.

Tee blocks - several have no grass, most are uneven

Overall this course is neglected

My grandparents were member at GCC when I was in college at UF and played several times a year with my grandfather. This round did not resemble anything from my youth. Tee boxes had very little grass and greens had poa annua weeds that made putting very difficult. The layout is still good, but the conditions were not.

The title says it all. Every review of this course saying the terrible condition it's it are 100% accurate. Nothing about the condition of this course is good. The best feature of this place was seeing it in my rear view as I left. The layout is promising and I'm sure many years back it was an excellent 18 holes of golf. Those days have long since passed, however. To call this a country club anymore is just plain wrong. This weed infested, overgrown, poorly maintained excuse for a golf course isn't worth $10 for 18 holes, let alone the golfnow deal I got for $30. Anyone who pays a full price for a round at this dump should demand their money back.

Horrible condition tee boxes had no grass, traps not maintained, no rakes and weeds on the greens. GolfNow should be ashamed to have this listing.

Greens improved-roll much better and truer. Mowing now and just in time for spring growth. Bunkers still a mess.

Some greens are unplayable, don’t roll true, some are overrun with weed grass. The weed killer and pre-emergence fertilizer has been applied but so far no effect. Green side bunkers are in terrible shape. Some haven’t been raked or tended in weeks.

This used to be a great course. The conditions of the course are absolutely terrible. There are many tee boxes with no grass, and many greens have weeds growing all over them. A number of the fairways have some sort of what appears to be a fungus growing. It is a shame because of the history and tradition this course has in the community. It is clear management does not want to invest the necessary time and money to make this course what it once was.

Nothing was nice about this course except for the carts. Got there a little early to warm up, asked for range balls. The kid tells me he gave them out already but he had a hand full that he could give me ( literally 6 balls). There was only like 5 cars in the parking lot, how did they run out. Get to the range, all dirt to hit from. The practice green looked like a sand trap with patches of grass. Joined another single , first hole. Asked if all the greens looked like that, he said yes, I left and headed for another course. Annoyed that I practically gave them $30 for free, but I knew that I would enjoy that place. BOTTOM LINE, DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Wish GN had people that would report course conditions on the regular. They should give avid golfers discounts to report courses conditions.

Greens are in good shape , tee boxes could use some TLC

Definitely beat up on boxes, more on the back nine. greens where ok. but you can feel the history of the course and it is a great layout. We enjoyed our round.

This course used to be one of the better courses in the town and is trying to make a comeback. Prices are good through Golfnow. Customer service is good and course layout is nice. The overall course conditions need improvement especially in the fairways and tee boxes where grass is dead in a lot of places. If the course condiitions get better it is a nice course to play
