Great Day
First time playing and we were impressed. Great layout that is challenging to all levels. Conditions were very good and the pace of play was exceptional. We certainly look forward to a return trip to Gainesville CC.
Top notch club
Course in great condition 5 days after hurricane Irma. Course layout awesome. Friendly staff inside and out as well as club members. Must lay when in Gainesville area, can't wait till next visit.
First time
I loved this course.What a breath of fresh air to play a course that gives you room to drive the ball and doesn't have water on every hole.Loved the big old oak trees and the wildlife.The greens were in great shape and rolled true.I just wish I could afford to live right on the course.
nice layout
The tee boxes, fairways and greens were in good shape. I had an 8 am tee time and was able to tee off early but they were mowing and fertilizing the greens in front of me. July in florida at a golf course is busier in the am than the evening so perhaps they should change there maintenance times if possible. The staff was very friendly amd i would play this course again when i am in the area.
Bermuda rough
Nice course and great value on GolfNow. Lots of recent rain made cutting the roughs a difficult task to keep up with. Greens were slow but rolled well.
Exclusive private club in Gainesville
Played here with a longtime friend that is a member here and really thought the course was in unreal shape. I have been around some great tracks including TPC Sugarloaf, East Lake, Harbour Town, and Kiawah Island but this ranks up there with the top courses definitely in Florida. The staff is some of the best I've been around and loved the whole atmosphere.
The practice facility where great pure green grass thick rough at the chipping area and great putting green. Mark Mucumber gave this course a major facelift back in 1996 and thanks to him there is now a great Lowcountry golf course. The buetifuel mossy trees and magnificent trees put the course together.
The greens where slippery and thought the bunkers where in great condition. (Pure white sand). The fairways where great and the rough was unbelievabley thick and gobbled up all balls that missed the fairways making it a great challenge to score. I ended up shooting one my best rounds of the year and enjoyed the whole expirence.
