Gainesville Country Club

Got a hot deal from Golfnow. Otherwise it would not have been a good value. Course was wet/soft due to recent rain. Fairway grass and Tee box grass were thin. Some Tee boxes should have been closed. Greens were fast and in very good condition. would like to play it again once the grass fills in. Liked the layout.

Course continues to improve. Greens are rolling well. In spite of all the rain fairways are getting better. You can tell money is being invested to improve the course

Beautiful old golf course. Easy to walk and enjoy southern golf. Greens are excellent. Staff very accomidating and friendly. If you are traveling down I 75 don't miss this clasic southern golf course.

Staff was very nice. Loved the lay off of course. Pace of play was great.

The value for the money is fantastic but what really sets this course is the great staff. The guys working their tails off on the course are beyond kind, and very courteous and sensitive to the player. They took great care of the greens during a time of year that it’s really tough to do so and even helped me around the course as it was my first time when they saw me. From pro shop to the 18th green, couldn’t have been happier.

I have been golfing for 20 years and never have I encountered a more friendly group of people than the crew at Gainesville CC. In addition to keeping the course in great condition, tough in January, the staff was out of this world friendly. Great greens, great people and a decent layout. Highly recommend

Having lived in the area previously, played the Country Club a few times in the past. Could not believe how bad this course has deteriorated. What once was lush conditions is now mostly dirt. Almost all of the tee boxes were totally dirt, and the fairways were sparse at best. The greens were ok, and most of the bunkers. Some of the bunkers had not been maintained. This once was the best course in Gainesville, but is in dire need of some improvements. Won't be coming back.

Decent course - overpriced for the conditions. Greens were in good shape though.

Course conditions were awful. Tee boxes are all sand. Fairways are thin and dead. Course is very wet in places. Used a hot deal and still feel like I overpaid.

If you ever played West End in Gainesville when they were open imagine that but for $50. This course is far from nice, fairways are unplayable and greens are okay at best. Tee boxes are non existent.
