Tubac Golf Resort - Otero/Anza

About
Tubac Golf Resort is home to 27 holes of golf that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The resort is most famously known for providing the set for the golf movie "Tin Cup." It was most likely chosen for its lush landscape of mature trees and cottonwood groves along with its dry, temperate climate. The Otero/Anza combination features some tricky water hazards. The par-3 ninth hole on the Anza nine has an island green similar to the notorious 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass. The ninth hole on the Otero nine features an expansive lake that runs alongside the left side of the green. In addition to the three golf courses, Tubac Golf Resort also features an extensive practice facility with a driving range, putting green, and practice bunker.

Great day at a great course
What a great day! We had never played this course before, but had it on our list because of the Tin Cup connection. We got a great price on Golf Now, and it was well worth the drive (about 45 minutes south of Tucson). Great rustic feel to the place - a real old time golf resort like stepping into the past. Wooden “farm-style” fences bordering some of the fairways, and there were even a few cows that got onto the course on the 17th hole to access the water hazard. But don’t misunderstand - this is a tremendous golf course, with some truly fun holes and some very challenging ones. Staff are beyond friendly and the pro shop has some great merchandise (my wife enjoyed that part of the day far too much!). The course was in fantastic shape just recently off overseeding, but long enough back that we could take the carts on the fairways. Just a great golf experience and we will very eagerly go back next time we are in the area.
Nice Day of Golf
Got a great Internet deal. Each of the 9’s had their challenges so I liked the course. Nice practice areas. Only negative was that several holes had mud in the fairways or were overly soft around the greens.
Tubac
After playing Tubac, we moved here!!
What more can I say!
Not Great for the Money
From the driving range to the greens the course was not in real great shape. From being torn up in place by the wildlife to the mud pits created by overwatering, we were ready to leave at 12 or 13 holes.
Always in great shape and a friendly, helpful staff
"Not as GOOD as I once was"
I have played Tubac Golf Resort for over 30 years. As the course has evolved from 18 holes
From 18 to 27 holes the conditions are inconsistant relatitive to the price increases. Both the practice range and the putting greens were unavailable. The conditions of the course and hole locations from 9/30/24 to 10/1/24 were identical, but the price increased $40.00 . The golfing experience has not kept up with the increase of pricing .
First time
First time there. Staff is wonderful. Course has a good layout but was not in good shape. Over watered and no practice facilities not at all available the day I went. Greens were very good.
alway's love this course
Always love this course, They're over-seeding for the winter and trying to keep 2 of the 3 nines opened durning the process. Course management is doing a great job.
.
Nice course
Course is nice with beautiful scenery and has some fun holes if you love the challenge of water hazards. Kind of dumb you can’t take the golf cart to load your bags in your car, considering the the staring point and parking lots are a bit of a walk and the course being in a rural community. Other than that still great.
