Nice Layout
Played East course. Greens were in pretty good shape. Tee boxes a little furry...fairways are in good shape . I think the East course gets less play then the South course..just an Fyi
TLC needed
Course is in need of attention.
Tee boxes had not been cut.
Fairways were thin with weeds.
Rough was covered in dollar weeds.
Greens were in great shape.
Great day in the sun
Was able to get a great golfnow today for Grenelefe East on a perfect weather day. Was joined by a Brit on the third hole and waved through by a senior couple on the 5th hole. Teed off at approx 11:15 and were done by 2 PM. I swore 2 years ago that I would not return due to horrendous conditions, but saw recent reviews and decided to get my own view of the course and have played 6 times since October. Congratulations to the limited staff who have done their best to revive this course. I highly recommend this hidden gem SE of Haines City. Played last Saturday and enjoyed food and beverage in the bar. It was all good, served by a friendly staff. A must play! Best advice: keep it in the fairway or your score will rise quickly!
Needs work
Needs a lot of work. Greens have patches in them, not much grass in the fairways. Doubt if I would play it again unless they put some money in it. Lots of ant hill mounds off of the fairways and also areas that have been dug up by animals looking for grubs I presume. Way too many weeds in the fairways. $20-$25 course.
Followed one foursome and two two somes, and we played as a two some. Not sure why they don't pair you up.
The course was enjoyable.
The ground around the greens were hard and weeds. But still had a good time.
Nice layout
Nice layout. I am not a fan of playing on golf courses with houses along the fairway, but on this course they were a little further back from the fairways. Greens were not in good condition but still putable. Staff was very friendly.
Yesterday we played Grenelefe East Golf Course. It was a beautiful day for golf in Florida. Temperature in the mid 70's with a slight breeze. I got a great deal on golf now for $26 each. We were a foursome. The pace of play was very good. We let a twosome go through at the turn but didn't see too many other golfers on the course. The greens were in pretty good shape, rolled true and were quick. The surrounding facilities looked a little worse for wear but they do have a nice expansive driving range. There are some challenging holes, especially the par 3's. Overall a good golfing experience.
Nice layout.
I'm 25 minutes away from this course and was very surprised with the EAST layout. Challenging but playable.
Although I played alone and it was a bit chilly this morning the pace was perfect
The staff was very friendly as well.
I will definitely play here again.
Greens
Course has nice layout but the greens were in terrible condition
Course is great value
This course is in good condition has a great layout with 5 tees for all levels of golfers. Food was very good, and everyone we dealt with were all friendly.
Nice course
This course is in better condition than any other courses in the area. Fairways and tee areas were in good shape as were most all of the greens.
Pleasant Surprise
Played Grenelefe 2 years ago and vowed that I would not play here again for quite some time. Read recent positive reviews and decided to give it a shot. Was pleasantly surprised with the upgraded course conditions, despite some bad spots on some greens which were consistent in speed. Fairways were green and in good shape.
Overall, an enjoyable experience with 2 fine Canadian visitors who also enjoyed the round. Will definitely return and recommend this course to all.
East Course - Not South
The course is in pretty good shape. Some of the greens are really fast.
wide open and novis friendly
Some improvements from last year but still a lot to do, perhaps some free golf in exchange for maintenance help, we would go for that. They supply the paint and brush.
