Needs some TLC
First, the staff was extremely friendly and attentive - the course definitely needs some work - fairways were kind of rough - the tee box’s need a lot of work - the grounds team are working on the greens- we would definitely play there again - even though some work needs to done - we had a great time and again awesome staff
Golf
I enjoyed the round course looks tired i hope they manage to get on top of it as some lovely holes great staff.
Great Course for the Money
Grenelefe is a great course layout and the greens are in some of the best shape in the area.
A bit frustrating to book an 8:20 tee time and then they send a scramble out on every hole at 8:30. The group was super nice and let us play thru so not a big deal.
This course was definitely phenomenal back in its day but hitting from the rough or the bunkers is kind of a disaster. The rough is all weeds and the bunkers are mainly dirt. The tee boxes could be better grass as they are weeds as well and sometimes makes it difficult to find a good spot to tee off. Overall for the price, I love this course and if you keep it in the fairways it’s a great play.
Always great
The East course is always a joy to play. The fairways and greens were in good shape, comparable to many upmarket Orlando courses.
Has been passed by
Let me say, this is an amazing facility. Huge clubhouse/lounge, driving range, 36 holes of golf but, it seems that what once was is no longer. It’s kind of sad to see, reading the history of this course and seeing the grounds in person, you can absolutely tell this use to be the place to be. But as most great things, time has passed this by and it has not been loved/taken care of/cared for, for its past glory and grandness. I say this bc it’s run down and neglected. If you just want to get out and play a round then it’s fine but don’t expect much. Tee boxes were rough, fairways were thin, rough had multiple types of grass, bunkers were just there (not horrible with washouts and rocks). The course is fine but it’s really hard to actually compliment anything except what you can tell it once was. I’m not going to bash it either bc it is what it is, we see this all the time with courses. Go play it, it deserves the respect, but just lower the expectations, enjoy seeing something great from the past and with lower expectations than what it use to be you’ll have a good time. Get stuff in the shop bc you don’t come back to the clubhouse after 9 and bring your range finder bc there’s no GPS in the carts.
NIce layout
Fairways are getting dry and grass water. Greens are pretty god shape.
Designed by Arnold Palrmer back in the day. Good thing Arnold didn't see the course in this condition. Thought I entered a ghost town when I pulled up. Course was full of weeds everywhere. The greens were the only thing in decent shape. Only saving grace was that I was on spring break and was just glad to play some golf.
Riddiculous
Nothing to write about. Course and area in financial trouble. Just woeful. Don't play there, at least not EAST. Should have given a refund.
Some tough holes!
A good course in better condition than last year.
Greens are good and roll well and true
We always enjoy playing Grenelefe and hope that someone will spend the money to take it back to its original glory days!
Time has NOT been kind to the excellent course.
Maintenance is atrocious. Can see the course and club house is bankrupt.
Was a great course back in the 1980s...

Great Value
The condition of the course has improved a lot since the last few years. It offer a good golf challenge and the pace of play was scellent the two times I played.
Ok but just
In its day this would have been a great course but greens are in poor condition and club house looks like it could collapse at any mi Ute. Needs lots of work. Great layout and wish I had visited in 1970 s
