Great value for money
The staff was great, getting us on the course promptly. The course has improved considerably over the last year. The greens are lovely and the setting is peaceful and quiet. What more can you ask for?
Enjoyable
Good condition, nice layout, bit of a drive from Winter Haven
South Central FL
One of best courses in south central Florida. Very good fairway grass for mid March.
Better Choices out there
This course was only average. The greens were in good shape, but slow. You can find better courses for the money.
Golf at Grenelefe on 3/12/2015
This course was in great shape and the staff was friendly and very helpful. The grass was well kept and the greens were well taken care of. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone that loves to golf!!!
Florida near orlando
Course in good conditiin. Greens plush and smooth. Enjoyed round and would definitrly play this course again
Grenelefe east
Great Golf greens were great and pace was good.
Will call up to play south course next
Highly recommend
Good Course
The greens and fairways were in great shape. There was some kind of animal diggings on Tee boxes and fairways we don't know what animals would do that. Couple of greens had a few bad spots but nothing real bad. Would play again for sure.
Great Surprise
Having read Trip Advisor we played the course with trepidation.
We were pleasantly surprised to find a golf course in reasonable condition with particularly good greens.
Unfortunately the starter didn't supply us with a rake so couldn't properly rake the bunkers.
When we finished the round there were literally no facilities available -not even a restroom.
It would have been nice to have had a drink on the 19th which is customary in the UK.
Despite that we would certainly return again if we are staying in this area.
Good Value
We got a good deal on Golf now and had an enjoyable round. No starter at the first tee, just one where you get your carts. He just gives you your cart, and tells you to go get in line at the first tee. (this was after 1:00)Guess it doesn't matter what your tee time is. We ended up playing as a twosome in between two foursomes and we saw another twosome behind them. Not sure why they didn't pair us up, but as expected it was a little slow. We always plan on a 4.5 hr or more round when going in the afternoon, wish it wasn't like that but seems to be at the other courses as well. Course was in nice shape and would play it again. Staff was very friendly.
Great course for put your money
The course played great. Tee boxes well defined, fairways and greens were in excellent shape. I really enjoyed my round. I can say that for the first time, the East course looks better than the South. I recommend you try this golf course. It's going to be a great day for golfing no matter which course you play.
Great!
Great layout and great condition! Definitely play here again. Would recommend this course.
Nice golfing experience
We very much enjoyed our golfing experience at Grenelefe East. The greens and fairways were very well maintained, although the greens had not been mowed in a while. I actually prefer slow greens, however. We also enjoyed the course layout, and found it challenging, but not frustrating. Great value for the money!
Good Course
Very busy course. I think they over booked the course. Our t-time was 10:30 but we were on the box at 10:15 with a foursome ahead and a twosome behind had to wait a little on most holes but not bad (2some behind wanted to play alone) front 9 plays in 2 hours so not bad. Nice course in pretty good shape. Will play again.
Water sneaks up on you on a few holes. Only problem - very few yard markers on the course (we got rained out after 13 holes).
This east course has a great layout. Just challenging enough.
We have played here in previous years and always enjoyed it. This year the greens and fairways are in good condition compared to other years. We will definitely play here again.
Great Value
Great value....the greens are not fast but fair. the rough is not perfect but good enough. We didn't get paired with anyone so we played in 3.5 hours, but I could see the possibility for slow play. There is not a lot of trouble on this course, but it can be narrow. My husband I are both mid teen handicaps and both shot in the 80's, so fair. I would play this again, especially for the value.
Greens were in great shape compared to last year
Booked at last minute got a good time played with some nice people paired with me and my wife had a great day
East course
I really liked the course and would play it again.
seen better days
. rough is very long and patchy. trouble finding ball if it does not land in fairway. . fairways are soft and full of divots, Bring a towel to clean mud off your balls. . greens are slow with many ball marks. . bunkers are hard and moist with limited sand. . no starter or marshal. you had to try to determine who was next to tee off yourself when you arrived at 1st tee. there were 4 group ahead of us waiting to tee off when we arrived at 1st tee.
