The Club at Starr Pass - Pioneer/Palmer

Tees had quite a few bare spots and the greens were a little bumpy at times. The layout is beautiful and very playable. I found it strange that the sand bottles for filling divots were full of pretty large rocks. I can't give enough praise for the honesty of the cart staff that found, secured and returned my buddy's wallet that was left in our cart

Would have been nice to have been told that they are undergoing major renovations and under construction before we spent $250 to play! No clubhouse, no bar, no pro shop, except for a little trailer, and port-a-potties only! The greens are in horrible shape and the fairways mediocre. They should have at least offered some sort of a discount! Supposed to finish renovations in June we were told, just in time for 110 degree temperatures!

We played 7 Tucson area courses in 8 days and this one was the best value and most fun.

Great weather for our round at Starr Pass. I was warned about the course being very tight but had few issues with hitting fairways. The greens were receptive, just ask about the grain from the starters, they will provide tips.

Played the course the year opened, beautiful layout, played it 39 years later, beautiful layout but want to come back knowing what I know now.

Great course layout. But greens are bald, almost no grass to speak of. Clubhouse is undergoing renovations so they have portable restrooms. But they were out of service. Only facilities were at the pool but you needed a pass key to get in and the starter seemed to only have one key. Huge inconvenience with players starting, turning and finishing. Plus only one of the courses had a permanent bathroom facility. On the other two there were more portapotties. Skip this course until they complete their renovations.

Not fun to play. Lost 10 balls to blind hazards

We enjoyed this course. I look forward to great beauty and each hole being different. We saw tame deer, roadrunners and javelinas.
