Preserve Golf Course

The course was in excellent shape. The greens and fairways were immaculate. Play moved along very well. There are some interesting holes that require correct club selection. Will definitely play again.

Great Golf course, great conditions and the views are spectacular

Have always liked this course. The condition this year is outstanding. The maintance of the restrooms could definitely be improved. Staff continues to be a little uppity.

We visit Tucson from Texas 5 to 6 times each year. This was my second visit to The Preserve at Saddlebrook, the first was in Feb. 2016 on a group trip and the second 11/23/16 with my wife. On each visit we experienced the same management inefficiencies. I understand the possibility of a frost delay in late fall and late winter but, the management has a responsibility to manage the schedule with integrity. Meaning, you do not change the schedule to apprease your friends and local members. In Feb, the delay was explained to us to be about 30 min., our group of 4 was skipped over and when we complained an hour later, we were then quickly moved to the 1st tee. We barely completed the round before dark. On 11/23/16, I checked my wife and I in at the Pro Shop. The management confirmed our tee time as 10:20 AM and made no mention of a frost delay. Each call over the loud P.A. system at the #1 tee box was easy to hear. 20 min. after our tee time, I overhear some members laughing about a frost delay as though they did not believe Management. An hour and 10 min. after our tee time we finally hear our name called to the 1st. tee. In the fairway of the first hole, the Marshall approached us, asked for our name, found us on his list of tee times, and said we were scheduled to tee off over 30 min. ago. That was in addition to the original 40 min. for frost. He confirmed that we had been skipped over many times by the Pro Shop management. The bag drop is a good walk from the carts. There were no staff on hand to assist with bags. The pro shop assigned us a cart number and we were expected to go find the cart. No attendants were available to assist after the round. The pro shop was locked and closed well before the scheduled close time. I only recommend this course to my friends because of the views, layout and excellent course condition. Management personnel can be changed and management issues can be resolved if they are seriously addressed.

The Preserve is one of my favorite courses in the Tucson area. It is a challenging layout and always seems to be in excellent condition. Pace of play is usually good. The only problem I have encountered is that it is usually windier there than it is in Tucson.

Everything is good and nice this course

This is a beautiful layout and a very nice course. As we all know, desert courses are difficult by themselves but this course has narrow fairways as well as beiing a desert course so it can be a little difficult. A little local knowledge helps a lot. But all in all, it is a beautiful course set in the mountains and I highly recommend playing it.

The staff at pro shop was very rude. I was running minutes late and he gave me a long lecture that l thought he was not going to let me play. (There was not another person schedule in front of me for about another hour). Plus another lecture about my girlfriend being a rider or what he called it a spectator.

The preserve is a great, but challenging course. Fairways and greens are in great shape. I highly recommend playing the course, to see for yourself. Will I play it again, you bet I will.

The setting is spectacular, the staff was very friendly, the tees and fairways were outstanding and the greens were a bit grainy and somewhat slow. However, it was a terrific experience and we would play there again. I imagine the greens will get better; they have good grass, but need to be cut lower. Sand traps are very good. This is not a walkers course because of the distance between many holes, but walking each hole, if your clubs are on a cart, is nice.

Need more water on the course

Great layout. Conditions of greens and around greens was not good. Good deal for the price. Disappointed in the conditions for a premier course.

Greens in bad shape, but overall course conditions good.

We had alot of fun and the course is in good shape. Greens are slow so be prepared. Staff were very friendly and lunch afterwards was good. I recommend the quesadilla. Good times and will be back...

Greens are in terrible condition

The course was nice, but no beverage cart. Sand traps were heavy and wet even thought I didn't tee off until 1PM. Good thing was plenty of water and ice on the course.

One of the best courses around will go back every chance we can. The changes in undulation and shot values were way up there. The greens were bad on this day and very little water on course (at 1 and10) plus no cart. 110 deg not sure what they were thinking

this course has a very good layout.. no 2 holes are the same. this course makes you use just about every club in the bag.. i always enjoy playing this course and the views it offers.. greens are normally good but unfortunatly they were punched recently and were bumpy.. i will be back cause this course is usually very well maintained.

Played at 1pm on a hot day so Had the course to ourselves at a great price! Maybe I shouldn't say, but it wasn't bad as the course is not all down in valley with no air flow. Had great breezes that kept us comfortable and the course offers plenty of places for ice and water refills.

Some dry spots on course but ground screw taking care of that.

Amazing views and wildlife to enjoy along the way! Challenging holes to keep iur attention for many rounds to come
