Golfer Reviews
One person
Course is a really nice track, fairways and greens are in great shape. But it doesn't take much to put a damper on the day. Playing with a young couple and had just Tee'd off on the third hole (par 3) walking up to play our second shot and the ranger or players assistant whatever you wanna call him, yelled from the top of the hill to pick up our balls and move forward. I didn't think we were behind, but picked up and moved to the next T-box where we THEN waited for the foursome ahead of us to clear the fairway. Needless to say, I was really upset and continued to wait on every T-box for the rest of the day, completing a 4 hour and 40 minute round. The player assistant did come by and told me that they had over booked, like that's my fault. I suggest that all golf courses train thier rangers to access a situation closely before they open fire on a group!!!
Very beautiful but challenging
This is an awesome course with breathtaking views. However if you are not familiar with it the blind shots make it punishing and unfair. The management should provide a map or gps so you know what is ahead. The course is well maintained and in excellent condition. Greens run true.
A beautiful desert course
The staff at The Preserve were very friendly and the clubhouse is beautiful. The holes offered a nice challenge to each. The fairways are offer great views and moderate to generous width. There was water, canyons, hawks and lots of natural interest as you play. greens were actually a little slow but nice. I would certainly recommend this course. The only drawback is that the location is a bit remote but worth the trip. I would definitely play here again. I did not use any amenities.
Stunning views of mountains
Challenging course with beautiful views. Thankfully we golfed with a pair of regulars who knew the course and some of the blind challenges like ravines etc.
Preserve is very good
This course is exciting to play because of its lay out and the beauty of its surroundings and the abundant wildlife. The drawback is the extremely slow play. There are too many players who lack in golf etiquette and concern for pace of play. Also it was disturbing to learn we could have played for the same twilight price without the Golf Now surcharge.
Desert Gem
This course is a bit out of the way and hard to find but it was well worth the trip. The fairways and greens were in good shape and the mountain views were spectacular. This course rewards accuracy and shot making skills. So if you aren't a single digit handicapper bring extra balls. Great value for the Tucson area and I will definitely play it again.
Quality Course in need of a Marshall
It took 5 hrs and 10 minutes to complete the game; my guest said he would not be coming back to this course.
Girl selling beer said that we should book earlier not the GN times.
fun and challenging course great views of the mounains .one of my favorite courses inn tucson
Always a delay at the Preserve
We go here about once or twice per year. Every time there is a delay for some reason. Yesterday we were 40 minutes late due to the mens group playing too slow, often frost delays etc. They should have started the groups that we severely delayed in a shotgun format for several holes then everyone gets done on time and before dark
Lost at times
Had issues with a couple pin placements. Fairways were hard to locate on several holes. A small layout on card would help. Loved course.
Preserve is in great shape
The overseeded fairways were lush. The ball sits up well. The greens were smooth and fairly quick, very fair. Bunkers were consistent and playable.
