SaddleBrooke Ranch Golf Club
About
Located in the North Tucson area, SaddleBrook Ranch Golf Club borders the Santa Catalina Mountains. The course meanders through the high Sonoran desert, incorporating natural washes into the design and providing stunning mountain views from almost every hole. Abundant desert flora and fauna further enhance the rugged, gently rolling terrain. The golf course offers a mix of challenging holes and player-friendly features, resulting in a layout with several interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to low and high handicappers equally. The player-friendly fairways are generous, allowing beginners to feel comfortable with ample room off the tees and rewarding thoughtful play. There are also carefully placed mounds, hollows, and bunkers along the large, receptive greens that provide opportunities to recover an errant shot. The golf course is made even more versatile with five different sets of tees.

Golf Course With No Character
I'm 60 years old and have played a bunch of different golf courses in my life, but this course is easily the most forgettable and characterless designed courses I've played. Most of the problem is that the course is located in the flat part of northern Tucson and there are virtually no trees on the course. Also, the land is flat and boring, so there just isn't much to look at while you play. On the positive side, the golf course is in good condition and the greens roll fairly well. Plz know that I don't enjoy being so critical here, but I would never choose to play here again.
85° day, no water on course, no beverage cart, 9-hole station was closed at 200 (our tee-time was 107) Ranger on #7 told us to call in food & beverage requests on #8 to be ready at the turn and it was closed apparently unbeknownst to the ranger, so absolutely nothing available to eat or drink WHICH THEY COULD HAVE TOLD US WHEN WE STARTED/CHECKED IN for $270+ fees
Course in good condition. Pace of play was a little over 4 hours. Golf carts in very good condition. Greens fair but fast.
Great track.
Some of the best courses are in Tucson/Oro Valley. We live in the Southern part of the east valley and they are all within 1hr and 20 min. And get this they don't gouge you like Phoenix west. 90 bucks and worth every penny. Give it a go and don't forget to try Ed's dogs. Absolutely phenomenal.
Poor Course Management
While conditions were just ok, it’s pretty dry (fairways are a bit hard and many balls rolled off the back of the greens), the real issue was pace of play. It turned into a 5.25 hour round because the rangers/marshals don’t do anything to speed up slow players. There was one hole on the front nine where 4 groups were on the same hole. They need to better mange pace of play, it ruined our rhythm and it will be a long time before I go back.
Pro shop guy needs customer service skills
I arrived at the 1030 or so for my noon teen time. Checked in and got range balls. But your pro shop guy says, "It's too early to give you a cart hit your balls and come back." Nice customer service skills. The course was dead one other on the range and 50 carts just sitting outside. Why would he do that?
Than to make it worse well he did let me go at 1137 but not busy so not a big deal. But paired with someone which is fine. But just tells me to go in this guys PRiVATE PERSONAL cart. You know the tee time I got was with a cart. So complete poor customer service to not at least ask me. Again slowest day of the year why would you need to be so cheap. Really worth it hurting your popularity for one cart.
Maybe show your customers some respect next time and don't make it all about you.
Great experience…
Great experience, inside staff was very helpful with giving a first timer the layout of the range and putting green. Course was in great shape, greens were running true and somewhat fast. Will definitely be back….
Not friendly to new players
My significant other and I were expecting to have a good time together playing golf and learning about how golf works but unfortunately these women players behind us kept rushing us and constantly nagging on us about what we were doing wrong. The staff did not help us teach us how to play or the rules to the course. We just ended up leaving half way through the course and on our way out, and old man came to us telling us we each need a golf bag when no one else told us that was necessary. We did not have a great experience. Never coming back. I do not recommend you come here if you are new to golf.
Perfect Friday!
Three and a half hour round on a blustery Friday...yes please!
