A gem in the Tucson area
Played 6 courses in Tucson and Phoenix on a guys trip in November, and this was our favorite!
Amazing views and elevated teeboxes on a majority of holes, great condition, fun, peaceful, good pace, friendly staff, everything a golf course should be!
Only minor downsides: range is present but not included, no service cart or halfway house, so bring your own lunch or snacks.
Parfait
Conditions de jeu excellentes. Les greens sont assez rapide et c’est parfait.
Great course, marred by really slow play
Would recommend but for the pace of play (over 5 hours) as a result of 2 foursomes mimicking snails. Where was the marshall???
Solid as always
Greens were quick, but very true. Always in a good condition course, cool layout. Sometime you’ll bump into the back of a slow foursome putting everything out like they’re at the US Open, but after a few holes they’ll let you through. 10/10 would hit again.
Reward program
would like to see the rewards program reinstituted. When also, the removal of many of your large trees have reduced the amount of shade that used to be there. Not at all happy with less shade.
Too pricy for that course
No good service for the price … we had to pay for practice ball . some member ask me to not take ice for my bucket … cheap
May give it another chance
Supper friendly staff. Round played in 4 hours on a Saturday. Nice views and a good layout. Course bathrooms were clean. No Cart Service. Greens were recently overseeded and some of the fairways had thin lies. Course needed more water. Would be willing to play this course again, but it would not be a top choice.
The surround mountains and wildlife was an awesome experience!
Nice Shape for Sep
The course is in really good shape. There’s some maintenance on the course, but it’s expected.
Like most courses in Southern AZ, the bunkers are not in very good shape. They were either hard or muddy.
Greens were good, as were the fairways.
The tee boxes are flat, so both right and left handers are equal off the tee box.
Remember there’s no beverage cart so stock up before you head to #1.
First time playing
I booked this place then I un booked it due to some of the reviews and comments. Then I booked it again because I had been wanting to play this course for over a year. Don’t let the reviews get to you. It is beautiful and almost perfect. Only problem I had with the place was no cart girl. Other than that?? It was one of the best places I’ve played in Tucson.
Loved the experience…
Early morning summer round. Higher, and cooler than Tucson. Course still transitioning from winter grass so fairways very close cut, a bit dormant (lots of roll) but playable. Course’s numerous bunkers in great shape. Greens visually splotchy but smooth, held ok, at mid-speed.
The layout is eye catching, amenities top notch (restrooms w/water and ice every four holes.
Play it if you can, sometimes offered at a low rate so even if a bit of a drive, give it a go.
Fun track
Very laid back and very enjoyable if you want a mellow round of golf. Not many people out there for a Saturday afternoon. I felt it was slightly over priced for the course conditions. For $100 I’d expect complimentary range balls. Felt more like a $60 course. It was extremely dry and could use a bit of water. Greens were super fast and rolled true. Very fun course and lots of fairway bunkers to navigate. Staff and all the locals were very nice. Had dinner at the clubhouse afterwards. Food was phenomenal and well priced. Bit of a drive from Tucson. I’d give it another try during the winter when it’s not so dry.
A great golf experience
Exceptional lay out!
Greens fast and fair.
A must play in Tucson!
Great challenging course
Good to see the Preserve overseeding with winter rye grass again. Makes a big difference. This course is probably my favorite public course in the Tucson area. It had a great variety of hole designs and has several particularly challenging holes. The views are fabulous.
