Golfer Reviews
Wow! Spectacular holes.
Good design with a lot of elevated tees with great views. Greens were very slow due to recent overseeding. Cart paths only slowed down the pace of play. I understand it was the last day this fall.
Wide fairways and large greens make it a very friendly course. Good choices of tee boxes with suggestions on back of scorecard based on length of drive. Good idea.
I will play there again during my vacation.
Great golfing experince
Beautiful views of the Catalina Mountains on a
very challenging course. Course was in excellent
shape. Most of the fairways are banked either right or left. Course knowledge extremely important in
scoring well on this cource.
Beautiful course
Beautiful course. Greens slow due to oversee ding but was great.
good course
Good layout for a desert course. The par threes were spectacular.
only critical comment is traps were in bad shape and only one rack per large trap.
Love this course!
The course was in excellent shape, except for the connection between hole 15 and 16. Construction made it almost impossible to cross over.
Because of reseeding, it was cart path only. Tough, hilly course to "walk" from cart to ball and back.
Can't wait to play in "normal" conditions. Can't beat the views !!!!!!!!
Great scenic desert golf course
If you like target golf in the desert you will love this one. Several well designed tricky holes that require course knowledge. Two holes are borderline between great design and tricked up. It will challenge you to keep coming back if you like to think your way around. Very scenic against the foothills of the Catalina Mountains. When it's hot in Tucson play at this higher altitude where it is 4 to 5 degrees cooler. This is a hidden jewel that is a great value. The only downside is the gray haired snow birds tend to be snobby like they own the course and do not let faster players play through. Owe well, they pretty much do own it and have paid their dues.
Tough
Interesting holes, enough bunkers to challenge you and greens that have deceptive breaks.
Is that enough for you? The course plays longer than you think so choose your tee box wisely.
Never saw a beverage cart. The restaurant is not open for breakfast so play a little later and sit on their wonderful patio.
My wife says that the course is lady friendly
GORGEOUS MOUNTAIN VIEW COURSE
FEMALE FRIENDLY COURSE, GREAT MOUNTAIN VIEWS, COMPENTENT STAFF
Try it once
OK it's a gorgeous course, and a plain gorgeous place to have a course..that said I didn't like it much. It's just one of those courses that doesn't suit me.
Very nice range and practice facility, carts were clean and perky.
The layout just seems too clever for its own good...blind tee shots, blind doglegs..too many holes where you really need to drive 150 yards before you tee off to really see what is needed. I'd probably like it if I played it 20 times and knew it well.
Great Shape All Around
Beautiful Sunday morning at the Preserve. Very Green because of the recent rain in the area. The course is in very good shape.
Very challenging, but fair.
This course provides a real challenge for the average golfer, but is rewarding to those who put 3,4, or5 good shots together.
Beautiful day of golf.
Excellent facility and golf course. Great views and challenging golf holes. Our first experience at this course. We'll be back.
Excellent Course with Beautiful views!!!
This is one of my favorite courses within the Tucson area! The course was in excellent shape; great fairways, wide enough for the average golfer, excellent greens although I prefer them to be faster. The surrounding mountains are everywhere and so beautiful. The club house is gorgeous and the patio area was the perfect place for a vodka tonic after our round.
Best of the publicly accessible courses at Saddlebrooke
Preserve was in the best condition compared to Mountainview and Saddlebrooke Ranch. Greens were a little slow, but I'm guessing that's due to the length of the grass for the summer. Great value through Golfnow.
A really good golf course
Really enjoyed playing this course. Spectacular setting. Beautiful clubhouse. Everyone working there was courteous and helpful. The course was in good shape; the greens had been punched recently and were a little slow, but they rolled straight and true. We saw three deer about 50 feet off the 18th green. I will play The Preserve again.
Great visual appeal
The course is in very good condition and the greens were smooth and a bit faster than other bermuda greens in the area.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The only difficulty with the course is the visual trickery with the elevation changes and distant targets or creeks that aren't visible from the teeing or landing areas. this is definitely a local knowledge course if you want to score well.
Really good course
Fun to play and well worth the drive. The greens are coming around after being punched two or three weeks earlier.
A hidden gem
Love this course. Greens are a little rough, but puttable. Great views and wild life viewing. Will definitely play again.
Always Well Maintained and Challenging
An absolute favorite in the Tucson area. Always in excellent condition with all holes different from one another. I live in the area but this course should be on every visitors bucket list when visiting Tucson.
