Golfer Reviews
awesome. views
A great course in great condition, very friendly staff. We even.had cows on the 18th hole. Would recommend.highly to all.
This course is in outsranding shape
This is the third time I have played the Preserve in the last Month. I will keep going back because it is one of the best layouts in the area and It is in jaw droping good shape!! Congrats Supper!!
incredible views
1 of the nicest courses in Tucson, for the $.
It has become my favorite course to play in the Tucson area. My out of town guests marvel at the scenery and get to experience a desert style course at a very reasonable price. This course represents what high quality golf in Arizona is all about.
For golfers unfamiliar with this course, playing it for the first time, beware of some hidden dangers!! I learned after 4 rounds to take some notes.
Good value
2:07 tee time. The front moved along really well, but the back was much slower. My only complaint is that the grass is cut so short that the ball easily runs off the fairway and into desert or washes. The greens and fairways, however, were top notch. With the afternoon pricing it is an excellent value.
You Can Beat the Value
This was our best golf experience while in Tucson. We got to play in a majestic setting at a course where back home we would pay at least $150.00 for $18.00 .... yes, $18.00. We were also hooked up with two locals that were great guides to us .... I would recommend this course to everyone that want to play in the Tucson area.
1st Trip to The Preserve
Spectacular views of the rugged mountains, dramatic elevation changes, every hole is different. Course is in good condition, fast undulating greens, do not be above the hole. Will return, enjoyed the day.
Range balls were $4.50/bucket and only about 15 balls in the bucket. Weather was not great, I think it was the only day all year it rained in Tucson.
Grinding...
Course is in good condition. Greens could use some water. Pace of play was unacceptable - five hours plus.
Great Course beautiful vistas!
Been here before and enjoyed the course so much brought alone 3 friends (all of which will return to play another day). All was good except that there was no starter which would have been helpful. With that said we still got out on time and enjoyed the round.
Twilight round very nice.
Very friedly staff met us at the end of our twilight round. It was dark and I left my wallet in the cart. The staff drove it to me in the parking lot. We played slow due to our experience level. We still had to wait on others on the front 9. Opened up on the back nine with fewer golfers. We let other play through. My 3rd time playing here, There are uouses now on the front nine. The last half of the back nine is so close to the mountains hopefully they wont build streets and houses back there. Golfnow rates were so low I took my son!
great course, play a little slow.
I played course twice. 1st day everything was excellent. 2nd day course was great, pace was slow. I came in after 14 holes. I was at 5hrs at that point.
"Customer Service" has left the building...
The course is in good shape, the greens are quick and smooth. No Rangers or drink service anywhere on the course. We were lucky in that the course was nearly empty and managed to play in a little over 4.25 hours (we waited on every hole, every shot... but not long). A typical round here is 5 hours plus. Unless you get a great rate from Golf Now the Preserve is simply not worth your money given the aggravation from a course that simply does not want your business.
No Food on Mondays?
Arrived before noon Tee time but found that no food available. would have brought lunch had we known. Everything closed on Monday.
Good for the price
Course is in good shape. If they get the pace of play improved this course is a gem. Gorgeous scenery and views.
Used to be in much better condition
SLOW play starting at the 3rd hole - called pro shop for ranger assistance, but no one showed up til the 16th hole.
Over 5 hours & 20 minutes - NOT acceptable
Ruined my Sunday afternoon - Siegfried
SLOW PLAY 5 hours 35 minutes!
OMG. SLOW PLAY. Every shot. Every hole. All 18 holes. I had to wait to hit. ALL DAY LONG. Almost 6 hours long. Started 12:30 finish 6:05pm. Ranger(resident/employee) not empowered to help.Nice views but I went there to play golf. This is not the first time the locals have told me about the pace of play. What a waste of my vacation day! What a waste of my retired money. Don't go there unless you have alot of time, no plans and have lots of patience. No one around to clear out the golf carts making it difficult to get to our cars after round was over. Alot of fellow golfers in front / behind us VERY UPSET and will not come back and warn others about the POOR pace of play and lack of management of it.
Fun course
Even though our weather was windy, we still had a great time playing this fun and challenging course.
