Beautiful Views
Fantastic Course with spectacular views! just about every hole could be a signature hole. Challenging but lots of fun. Course is in excellent condition. Best course in Tucson maybe in the country! Loved it! The dining room has a magnificent view and great food which is open from 11 am to 8 pm except Sun & Mon.
Preserve at Saddlebrook
We plan on playing the course the next time we are in Tucson. Map of the golf holes or a yardage book is probably a must-we had several penalty shots due to hitting thru the fairways..
play this course when in tuscan
very scenic very nice viewscc course and has probably some of the greatest elevation changes in the area, also the best greens that I played on this trip
Great test, great conditions, beautiful!
Beautiful layout, gorgeous views, greens are fast, but fair. My favorite course in Oro Valley, Saddlebrooke, north Tucson.
Great views
Excellent course with wonderful views. Everything was good except lack of food and beverages. Very challenging especially for 1st visit. Highly recommend.
Superbe terrain !
Beau terrain avec un certain niveau de difficulté !
Slow play
The play of the groups in front of us was extremely slow. There was no attempt on the part of the staff to force them to clear the gap or let delayed groups through . It was as though they did not want to cause a reason for the slower players to not come back.
Challenging but fun
Challenging but fun. The greens were true and the fairways well maintained. Tricky terrain, but not tricked up.
Scenis course; challenging!
Nice course with great viwes. Requires accurate drives due to washes and roll-offs. In good condition. Clubhouse has great views and decent food.
preserve
course condtion, paired company were good and green fee were reasonable. but weather was too strong. generally recommend to play.
beautiful views
very good condition, pace of play a little slow..no beverage cart,
Could play it everyday
This course offers the whole package: excellent value, quality conditions, challenging but fair design, down-right fun, spectacular mountain views and demands you use every club in your bag. Our favorite course in Tucson for all the above reasons.
another good game
always find this course a challenge, especially when the wind blows, as a 72 year old playing from the regular tees... fairways well watered and green. and the greens aren't tricky... most of the brush has been cleared from the rough rough, which allows for recovery shotsinstead of a drop and penalty.
Beautiful course
The course/development is quite a bit out of the way for me and gps not much help. Play was a little slow, about only complaint.
Play this course
We spent a week playing Tubac, the Dove, Starr Pass, Vistoso and the Preserve. The Dove is the best course. The best course for the money is the Preserve, but all are worth playing. In fact, we may repeat the same itinerary next year. Major flaw at the Preserve is that they have no beverage cart, no snack bar or short order grill, and the club house that contains the only cooler to sell beverages from closes at 3pm. The beautiful dining room and patio are useless frustrations to the average golfer making the turn at 3:05 in need of a simple quick beer and a turkey sandwich.
Nice course.......but
Very nice course with 2 very nice par 3's on the front.
Greens were nice but wish they were cut shorter but I'm assuming the membership doesn't like fast greens.
The back nine requires some course knowledge or at least provide guests of your course with a course map. The first par 5 on the back is gimmicky as is 16.
All in all a very nice course.
Cons:
I booked through this website and they gave me grief over range balls (included and verified on this site), really you're going to argue with me over range balls.
When a course has hidden hazards then you should provide a course map to those who visit.
If you do go bring your own water and fruit (etc) as there was nothing available when we visited (no on course carts and nothing available in the clubhouse).
Oh and gas carts, really!
A Must Play!
First time playing The Preserve, mainly because of the 45 minute drive from North Tucson. Very challenging, tight course. I think I used driver twice thru 18 holes. You need a trusty 215-245 yard shot on most if not all the par 4s. Fairways and tee boxes were in excellent shape, greens were a bit bumpy but rolled fairly quick. Lots of slope! Some of the best Par 3 holes in town. 50-75 yard drops! Friendly staff, pace of play could have been better but it was a busy day for them. My twosome tee'd off at 1:22 and we finished 18 in the dark at 5:40.
Negatives: No drink cart girl, beer fridge was dead and restaurant was closed but it was New Years Day. No coolers/club/ball cleaners on cart
Good day, great views
Day I played it was a little cool and breezy. Course, both fairways and greens in very good condition. Course did not have much play that day and got around in 3 hrs. It was a great day of golf.
Outstanding Conditions and Views
The pace was a little slow but otherwise the course was in excellent condition. In fact the greens were as nice as any I've ever played on. I've played some of the highest rated courses in Arizona and haven't seen better anywhere. It's a challenging course and it helped to have residents who have played it multiple times for guidance on how to play holes. That's especially important on the back 9 where you can easily be in trouble by hitting it straight and long. The backdrop for many of the holes made it difficult to know which was the signature hole. It's an absolutely gorgeous setting.
This course (The Preserves at SaddleBrooke) was very challenging but fair.
The course was easy to find, clubhouse clean and nice. course was in very, very good shape. The course was very, very challenging (water, sand traps, pin placement) but very fair made for a very interesting day of golf.
A ton of fun, we'll be back next Thanksgiving Day.
Keep up the great work.
