Golfer Reviews
Good experience
A nice course, very scenic, a fair challenge with an interesting layout. The greens are currently rough and
in some cases diseased.
Greens had just been aerified
It would have been nice if they had informed GolfNow that they had just aerified their greens. Ordinarily, I really enjoy this course, but don't even think about playing it until the end of August. The greens will take that long to heal.
Absolutely a must to play. Beyond words how beautiful.
One of the best courses we played during our week stay. The most friendliness staff, members and the course is just unbelievable.
Splendor - The course and the scenery!!!!
Now that is value for your money.....I will drive 30 miles to get a round at this beautiful course coupled with the scenery to along with it!
course in decent shape, greens a bit hairy, cafe staff lazy
all employees except those in the golf shop, had attitudes. similar to " don't bother me, wish you weren't here." this attitude was very pronounced by the cart person and the café staff.
This course has spectacular views
We thoroughly enjoyed playing at the Preserve. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we went back & played it again the next day. You get great views plus a lot of different angles to play on the fairways. We would recommend it to anyone who plays golf.
Greens slower than normal, but probably due to the recent heat and efforts to keep them green. Bunkers were horribly maintained.
Seems to be a continuing problem with cattle on the course--enough so that some of the greens actually had hoof prints and I saw several walk directly through the greens. This has been a recurring problem, yet nothing seems to be done. Not too excited about having a couple of bulls within 50 yards with no safeguards.
great value and unparalleled views
this is a fun and very challenging course. we had a great time and will look forward to getting back there soon.
greens and fairways are dried out
The fairways are dried out, new grass has not grown in. some greens are too dried out and dying.
Course has some challenges
This course is challenging. Lots of elevation changes which make it fun. I really thought this was a great course along the mountain and made for great views and play!
A Real Test Of Golf On A Windy Day!!
My son was visiting from out of town & I wanted to take him to a nice track. No problem here. The course was in great shape. Greens rolled true & good lies were to be found in the fairways. I spent a lot of time in the well placed bunkers & for the most part there was sand. Electricity was out on the course so the water fountains were not working. They had water coolers placed in the proper places to keep you hydrated. They really care about their golfers. Great track & a must play!!
Prettiest course in Tucson area- you gotta see the views there.
This is still my favorite when the price is right. Grew up in the area when nothing was out there. Actually helped build out at Saddlebrooke in 1990.
This course is great
It is getting really hot so all golf course's are starting to show it, this one is no different. But it is in great shape, we play here a lot. this course needs the tee shot to be in the right place, if you do this you can score, if not you need to scramble. the scenery is great, all in all in the summer time this golf course is worth every penny it cost to play .
Great course, great condition!
Great course, beautiful and awesome greens. Fairways nice. Tough out of bounds.
Sand needs some work.
Favorite course in Tucson
My friends and I all U of A students love this course. We all are good players and shoot in the mid 70's to low 80's this course is long enough for us as well as challenging enough. We have played this course around 15x and it is always our first choice in terms of where to play.
Pristine conditions with a demanding course design
The course was in fantastic shape. The greens were perfect and the fairways were in VERY good shape. I couldn't be happier with the course conditions. Drastic changes in elevation and some narrow fairways made play challenging. Bring extra balls. Some of the par 3's are super cool. Saw a deer in the afternoon too. I will definitely be back.
Great layout. No two holes are alike
The sand traps need attention. They had not been scarified in quite some time. Some of the traps had water that had run into the and evaporated and left the sand crusty. Other than this one problem, the course was in great shape. It is my favorite course to play in the area.
It's a great place to play.
Play moved along at a good pace. Be mindfull of where you
put your tee shot .I liked the set up because you need to use
good judgement to stay out of trouble. It is worth the time and money to drive up from Tucson
Worth the long drive
Fun course, a bit of a drive if you live within city limits but worth it. Course design is good with challenging but fun holes, unique elevation changes and great backdrop with the mountains right there. Great place to play in the summer when the temps are about 10 degrees cooler then in the city of Tucson. Will play here again for sure.
Fun course
Played it for first time. Was a great course; well-maintained. Challenging but not difficult. Wish they had more info on ravines and baranca on course when unable to see. They had this at Mountain View and it helped a lot. Otherwise a great time very nice clubhouse.
