Great course
The Preserve is a must play. Views are outstanding. The course is challenging but fair.
Top Shelf
Great day at the Preserve
Everything wasperfect from checking in to condition and pace of play.
Will certainly be back
Course condition
We have played this course many many times over the years, but last year the HOA took over the operations and this year we are seeing the condition of the course with the new Management and it is NOTanywhere near the same quality course conditions as last year, such a same!
We would not recommend this course to our friends that experienced this course last year!
Fantastic course
Had a gtreat,fun round.
Everything top notch from checking in to course condition and pace of play.
Our 4 some will be back.
Great track
Requires straight tee shots and pin point iron shots.
Rhino's Review
The curse was in good shape and as always was challenging. The weather was from hot to moderate as clouds came in and provided cool breeze. As far as value and difficulty and challenge, this is oine of the best courses around the Southern Arizona area and one of my favorites
Under Construction
The course has been taken over by the HOA. Lots of maintenance going on. Greens and surrounds have been punched. Fairways punched as well.
At this time the course is not in good condition. Perhaps will be better in the fall. Skip at this time.
Course is burned out, greens were terrible.
Although greens are normally slow, now they are burned and very little grass. Fairway's are also sparse
. Hope they have the water and know how to get this course back to what it could be.
Terrible course conditions
First it takes at least one hour travel to get to the course. No big deal if the course is even in okay conditions. The course is so beautifully laid out that it shames the owners how bad the course conditions really are. On every hole the fairways are down to bear earth, even around the greens there is not one good lie. The greens are shamefully groomed. There is almost no water available for drinking except for about four locations, not even coolers or bottled water. The staff should have been required to inform each golfer of these conditions. Had I known beforehand how bad the course was I would have saved my money and played in the desert. Shame on you GolfNow for not reviewing this situation on your sight.

Maybe you should have thought about the drive time! Did you call the golf course to see if they were doing any maintenance? You should take some responsibility
Tough conditions
Summer conditions here course has just reopened after a week to start transition and there is little grass in the fairways and the greens are like a sandbox. Best to give this place a month at least to get back into shape.
Poorest condition ever
I have been playing the course for three years and this was the worst condition the course has ever been in. there were dry spots on every fairway and the greens were not in playable shape. It was a shame to find the course in such bad condition.

You should see it now and not during transition. Best Course in Tucson area...and its not even close!
One of my Favorites
A friend invited me last summer to play this course, we played it two times in 2017. This summer we plan to play at least two times. We live in Mesa, but this course is well worth the trip and we love to play later in the day as all the resident animals start to come out about an hour before sunset. Great views and a great course.
Just amazing
I'm jealous of yhe course architect that was able to work with this land. Easily the most beautiful layout around. Only reason PGA tpur plays scottsdale and not here is because obese golf fans couldnt walk this course. If ypuve never played this beauty you're missing out. We played Sunday at 11 and had the course to ourselves. Tees and greens were very good. Fairways were patchy (ive played here a dozen times and this was worst ive seen them) BUT they were closing next day for aeration and over seeding. Course was still very worth the HOTDEAL price. Had a burger and a brew after round. Staff was great even tho Course was empty. Let them get punching/over seeding done and get your butt out here.
Nice views and friendly personnel
This was my first time playing the Preserve at Saddlebrooke and was impressed with the service by the pro shop and the awesome views from the course. The course fairways were a bit dry but the greens were in good shape as well as the sand traps. It was pretty hot but the winds made it more tolerable. Nice to have ice and water machines on a few holes as well. I will be playing this course again.
Beautiful Views!
Second time playing here since moving to the area in April. I really enjoy the course and how diligently they work to take care of it. The course is fun to play, but if you are playing now through summer just realize it’s the desert and that it is a challenge to keep the courses in perfect shape ( Mother Nature is s beast) I hate reading reviews that talk about how bad a course is in disrepair when it’s obviously a seasonal issue. Really like the preserve and will be back soon.

Amen Brother!
Preserve
I really like the layout of the course. We ran into some slow groups towards the end of the front nine. Back nine was slow and there were not many players. Otherwise, I love to play there. I will go back.
Good Layout/Conditions/Staff/Value
Not a must play- but if you’re in the Saddlebrook area, the Preserve is a good choice. Good but not top notch conditions. Can usually find a discounted tee time. Fun and challenging to play. Excellent views, as well.
Agree it dropped last yr but Went back and they are really improving the course. It is back to what I saw a few years ago and in some ways better. Developer had let slide just before turnover.
Loved the preserve today! Of tucson golf one of my favorites
