Verde River Golf & Social Club

I enjoyed the course very much and definitely will play it again. It's a great course for the money. I think you have to play it a few times to get the feel of the layout. My son and grandson were here in Dec and played and they are the ones that recommended it to me.

The course is always in very good shape, including the range.
The wind is usually blowing, but hey, that should be another good reason to work on your game.
I recently played with one of the rangers on his day off; he is part of a friendly staff.

Truly a course set in the desert; scenic, well maintained, course pace consistent, forgiving. Friendly staff. Vista Verde is one of my favorite courses.

overall a great course. I have played here a few times and this helps with choosing clubs. Lots of arroyos to play over. Greens are very nice. Plenty of tee boxes to choose from. Lots of room if you like to bomb it.

Course playing well and not crowded. Greens running about a 9, not super fast. Started at 2pm and on the turn, one of the staff was a real jerk and informed my threesome we were not playing to the required course pace of play. That was entirely inappropriate. I was playing with 2 other 7 handicap players and no one was ever in front or in back of us. I think he was just some kid that wanted to leave work early. It insulted me so I called the manager and he agreed this kid's actions were inappropriate. Regardless, All know that Vista Verde is a no frills operation, but the course challenge and conditions are superb.

Desert golf at its best. No frills golf, but course is in great condition, pace of play under 4 hours, and great scenic views. One of the best values in the valley

I Was very impressed with the overall layout of the course. Absolutely Worth the drive. No clubhouse but who cares if you appreciate a great round in the desert...

Fun course to play and very scenic. No club house and the washrooms were portable. My only complaint was it felt like the round took forever. By the 15th hole I was ready to walk of the course it was so slow. It was very frustrating.

If your definition of desert golf is just you, the golf course, and desert with nothing else around then this is your course. Interesting layout with topography changes, good mix of challenging holes, and you cannot beat the price. If you want the bells and whistles of a club house then do not come here as it does not exist. But if you are looking for a great day of golf then put this on your list.

From the tips this course is a real challenge, no wonder they play tournaments out there. The drive is worth it, see you again on Wednesday VV.

Nice course.....if you haven't played it before, it is tough to know where to hit the ball on some holes. A yardage guide would be nice. The course itself is in good shape.

The course was in great shape and very playable but the customer service was as bad as I have ever experienced.

The desert setting was nice the course was in great shape. Greens were quick. We had a great time. Can't wait till they have a clubhouse and other amenities.

The course is an area that is being developed. It seems like it is in the middle of news here, but I suppose that is the charm of it. I love the way you can practice prior to play with out worrying about having enough practice balls. They are supplied and ready to hit at each location.
The course is definitely a challenge to play. I was fortunate enough to play in with a group that had played the course numerous times and was willing to part with some advice for hitting direction and problem areas. The course played very quick. There was rarely a wait to tee off for the next hole. I would definitely play this course again.

I enjoyed the course. The views from the tees and fairways was stunning. The entire layout was what i was hoping to find on a desert course. Would and have recommended this course. Great value for the money.
