About
Verde River Golf & Social Club (formerly known as Tegavah Golf Club and Vista Verde Golf Course) has a desert style layout that features panoramic views of Four Peaks, the Superstition Mountains, Weaver's Needle, and the Tonto National Forest. In addition to the scenery, the golf course also presents interesting challenges such as subtle contours and desert wasteland areas that guard the holes. The greens lead to generous landing areas that require precision and length. Although only one water hazard comes into play on one hole, there are several sand bunkers strategically situated throughout. Verde River Golf & Social Club offers five sets of teeboxes to offer suitable challenges for players of all skill levels and abilities.

No frills, no clubhouse, dirt parking lot, etc. good test of golf on a challenging course , great bang for buck!!!
Played the course after a recent over-seed and it was in great shape compared to others in area. Typical desert course that is rather secluded with just a few homes on the course. Four(4) sets of tee's that should satisfy/test the scratch to the senior/women golfer. No clubhouse or frills just a solid great value track!!!

Course just opened from over-seeding. Greens were a little slow but not overly "hairy". Will be excellent in a week or so. Course length from Gold is challenging.
Good Value. Leaves a a lot to be desired
The course is inexpensive to play. But you get what you pay for. On many holes it difficult to see the pin or the landing site. Amenities are non-existant. There is no water on the course. If you expect to get a soft drink at th e turn there is not even a vending machine. I teed off at 1100. When I got to the second hole, the beer girl came by and told me she was making her last run for the day.

Nice track, just as good as the big name area clubs
I really enjoyed my round at Vista Verde. There was no club house and the pro shop was in a trailer, but that didn't take away from my experience. The course was well maintained, had a good layout. After playing most of the big named courses in the area, the sub $100 round was a welcome change. If you are looking to play golf and don't need all the frills, I suggest visiting Vista Verde.

Sir or Madam,
We're sorry you had a less than desirable experience at Vista Verde Golf Club. We do provide all golfers with ice cold, unlimited bottled water located on the cart cooler. We provide all golfers with yardage booklets detailing each hole with graphics, Laser Link yardage prisms at both the transition areas and flag sticks, as well as a smart phone application that includes interactive overhead mapping as well as a real time GPS tracking system powered by Google Maps.
We apologize for our lack of facilities which we are currently working on improving in these tough economic times, but we do offer a great value, full service beverage cart and friendly intuitive staff. Not to mention the incredible pace of play you endured. We hope you'll give us another chance.
