Forgot what number whole that was but I was the front 9. Photo submitted by Jasonrapp81 on 02/28/2021
This course gas grass!
Most Florida courses have dead pan. This course has actual grass on fairways, approaches, and first cut.
Nice golf course
Greens were a little slow but overall, it waw an enjoyable round. I'll golf there again.
Cindy
Website allowed me to select either 9 or 18 holes at 11:24. I selected 9. Upon arrival I was told only after 1 could we play 9. However they let us play the 9. .i don’t understand why 9 holes can’t be played at anytime.
Staff issues
This would have been an ok course for the price, until a Ranger/manager came up to our group yelling at us that we had already been warned twice that we were slow playing, and “that was the last warning we were going to get!”. I tried to calm her down and tell her that no one had said anything to us. Not to mention we played the front nine in 1 1/2 hours. A true “Karen” experience. I wish we had a camera to document it because it was ridiculous.
You don’t talk to paying customers like that. We won’t be back.
Good value for the price
This course is a good value for the price paid. Fairways and tee boxes were good. First two greens need a little repair. The rest of the greens were all excellent except the NEEDED to be cut. Way too slow. My group was hammering the ball on the green. Other than that i have no exceptions. Staff was friendly. Priced right.
great value for the price
Course conditions were good. Sand traps were rough (hadn't been raked in a long time) and the greens were slow and bumpy. But course was very playable.
A pleasant surprise...
I wish this course wasn't in the middle of nowhere. But, then the land would have cost twice as much. For the price the conditions are probably among the best in the area. Better than Lake Wales (and I hate to say that about a Tillinghast course). I opted to play here because, with all the rain we are having, my regular course, Cypresswood, has become a bog. Indian Lake was on 90 degree rule, Cypresswood was cartpaths only (and with good reason). I was concerned because, like so much of this part of Florida it's awfully flat and I wasn't sure how well the course would drain, but this is much drier than Cypresswood has been in the last couple of weeks. If it keeps raining, I may be back down in a few weeks.
