Located less than an hour from Tampa and Orlando, LakeSide Golf & Country Club in Inverness has a unique and scenic setting with four holes that play around an abandoned phosphate mine. The challenging layout will test you with long par 5s and a slew of doglegs. Unlike some of the flatter, marshier golf courses you'll find throughout Florida, this layout has rolling, wide open fairways and large, undulating greens. Be prepared for more than 50 strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greens in addition to well placed smatterings of tall oaks and pines. The rough can also be very punishing if you're errant. There are some challenging holes but it's not overly daunting; beginners and casual golfers will still enjoy the golf course. There is also a driving range available at LakeSide Golf & Country Club.

Excellent Staff
The ranger/ starter has always been very friendly and professional and friendly. Wait staff at restaurant are very helpful as well and work hard to ensure you are happy..
A bit above average.
The course is tired, tee boxes are in need of some serious work, the fairways are just that, fair, and the greens were in pretty good shape. The course layout is somewhat challenging but not impossible for any skill level. To their credit they were fertilizing the grounds, and as with most courses around will improve with the much needed rain.
Playing here for over 30 yeears
Please lower hot deal rates. The season is over and all the clowns are gone.. Respect our locals that are here year round.

Great rates! Greens and fairways are good. Worth the price to play!
Fair price for the condition
This course was dry when we played but was a good deal for the price we paid ($20). Tee Off Hot Deal with promo code works good for us. There are some challenging shots required and the greens roll true. The beer is reasonably priced and the bar is comfortable.
Save your money unless you're new
Greens are in really bad shape, as are most fairways. Back nine is much better. Perfect for the inexperienced golfer.
