One of the better courses still open!
Leaves, hills and blind shots for days! Love this course.
Good round for December in Massachusetts
Played mid December, course was in great shape. Range could be upgraded to match the track itself. Bar was closed, about nthe only negative as it was 45 degrees outside. A little something something to help warm the body would've been. Nice. Overall though I'd recommend it.
Always a great day
We always go back to Crosswinds because it is just a fun course to play no matter which two nines you play. Always in excellent shape. Well worth the cost.
Fast Start -Slow Finish
Everything was great on the first nine (Zaharias ). When we made the turn to the second nine (Jones) everything slowed to a snail's pace. There should have been a Ranger to keep the pace moving.
Tough alternative to local upscale courses
Have played the other local "names" and found them pleasant, well groomed and overpriced. Was always told to try Crosswinds and finally did.
I enjoy a tough challenge and this provides all of that. Short holes with narrow fairways or specific landing ares...lots of elevation changes and blind shots.... good sand, true greens, not super fast.
Booked an early AM round and was paired on the schedule with two others. Tee time before was a threesome, so for some unknowable reason starter moved single up to lead off with a foursome followed by twto twosomes. we stopped to let one through and still played in under 2 hours front 9.
Starter aside, a lovely golf experience. I will certainly be back.
Great Fall Golf!
I played after days of rain which had led to flooding of many areas just the previous night. The course had a few puddles, but none of the interfered with my round. Cart path only made sense - but what does not makes sense is charging those of us who prefer to walk the same rate! The fact that my receipt priced in the cart fee ($16:00) for the cart I did not take was annoying adding insult to injury. In the larger scheme of things it is one of the tougher courses to walk, and the vast majority will prefer a cart for this hilly course with significant walks (drives) between holes. The $82 I spent is still a better deal then comparable courses next door, but it just doesn’t make sense to charge walkers the same rate as riders! Even so, I strongly recommend these courses to any reasonably experienced golfer. Likely a bit much for a beginner!
Challenging track with some issues
Really enjoyed the track but It took 2:35 to finish the Zaharias - two groups on every tee - Jones was better after several groups dropped out - the cart we had was extremely tired - backfired multiple times -
Crosswinds
I have played golf courses in many different states aand countries .. top rated courses and 5 star resorts .. the routing of each 9 is classic and well done .. course conditioning is top shelf .. plenty of room between each hole .. no condos or other interuputions on the course .. staff is cooperative ... reasonabaly long from the tips and fair test of all culbs in the bag .. this complex deservers a 5 star rating without question and out shines many others on the area with a 5 star rating .. ..well worth the money and time .. only downside is pratice area grass tees not very well manicured .. pace of play could be an issue at certain times but not on my visit .. would play it daily if possible .
Crosswinds in Plymouth
Course is amazing, every hole is a challenge, every hole is beautiful. Worth every penny. Only drawback groupings we’re to close, we felt like we were right up the backs of the group in front us and the group behind us was right up our backs. But would definitely return again.
Great value
Great shape, very friendly staff. By far the best value course around
