Crosswinds Golf Club - Jones/Ouimet

This course should be on every New Englanders’ bucket list. Great golf experience & outstanding value. The course is challenging but not over the top in any way....very fair. Course conditions were superior to almost any public daily fee courses & superior to most private facilities.

Starter is a curmudgeon. Grumpy, non-conversant. That would be OK, except he packed the course sticking 2-somes in between 4-somes and offered no flex for the 3rd course. Took 5 1/2 hours. On ALL tee boxes there were three different groups waiting. Ironic since the first bullet on their scorecard states, "At Crosswinds, we enforce 4 1/2 or less per round." Too bad all 4 rangers didn't show up on course. Their carts remained at clubhouse. It is not a hard job to look at watch and figure out distance between groups on tee #1.

Played on a picture perfect Fall day. The course (Jones/Ouimet) was in superb condition. Everything about the experience on the golf course was terrific.

I would offer one opportunity for improvement. The staff we encountered was not at all welcoming. We encountered four individuals, check-in, starter, return to clubhouse, and waitress. We do not recall a smile from any of the staff. Rather they seemed burdened. In response to some questions. We received abrupt answers that were at best minimally helpful.

Perhaps a reminder about customer service would be in order. The feeling that we were intruding on their time detracted from what was a wonderful day on a golf course that we all enjoyed.

Did an afternoon loop on the Zaharias/Jones. Course conditions were fantastic but the start of the round left a sour taste within our group. The starter was one of the most miserable human beings I’ve ever met. Even after the round, shouting at customers about cart parking etc. Need to move that staff member behind the scenes with no customer interaction! Course conditions:

Tee boxes were in decent shape, you can tell this track gets a lot of play but still pleasant to the eye.

Fairways were immaculate. Very lush.

Greens were an 8/10. Lots of wear but still in great shape and rolled true.

Bunkers were not the best around but the sand was very nice to play from. Not chunky/ rocky.

Best condition of all public courses including some private ones. Crosswinds Never disappoint.

This course is another favorite course of mine , the 1st time I broke 90 was on this course maybe 12 yrs ago , I shot a 89 today and I have only broke 90 here a few times maybe 4. Anyway this course was awesomely groomed and the green were a dream our foursome had fun and golf now made it affordable for us.

The staff at this course is top notch and the conditions as I said the best I have seen all year at a course , the grounds keepers need to be commended for the great job keeping this course in such great shape.

When we arrived at the course with our confirmation email from GolfNow we were told that GolfNow only charges their convenience fee and that the price for the round was due. My wife had to supply her license until a manager could review the situation. She retrieved her licence after the round so the course must have been satisfied. Very frustrating to say the least.

We were sent of the Ouimet / Zaharias loop. The Zaharias 9 holes is the worst of the 27 here and probably 9 of the least enjoyable holes south of Boston.

I haven't played Crosswinds in years because I kept getting sent out the Zaharias.

The Jones / Ouimet 18 is a FANTASTIC course, but I have been unable to play it as it is a crap shoot and they will not tell you until you have paid and you are ready to go.

if I had known I would have balked at even playing.

Rain held off to hole 13 then went downhill couple of times for a bit . Made it a bit difficult to keep clubs dry. But my overall first time experience was good. Great staff and course is a beautiful layout. Fast greens in great condition. The overall condition of the course is well done. I was quite impressed. Looking forward to play here again.

First time playing the course. Thought it was in excellent shape and is beautifully designed. Was a bit slow but it was a great day out so every tee time was filled.

Just a wonderfu golf course. The day started with a starter who knew what she was doing. And it was all downhill from there. The only thing that could have been better was the off course amenities and a beverage cart. Definitely will be back.

This track is a town owned 27 hole course that is well maintained

The course has many elevation changes which makes club selection important

This course is located in the pine hills of Plymouth with multiple elite golf course in the area.

For the price you pay and the condition of this course you can see why this course is a favorite of the area.

You will not go wrong by selecting this course for your next round of golf

Great course and excellent value. The need a ranger to speed up play. Had to wait on every tee box. Too slow for mid week round. Other than that, highly recommend.
