About
Golf architect Arthur Hills designed the Legendary Run, an affordable facility that offers country club-caliber golf in spic-and-span surroundings and with what management calls "the friendliest service in the world." Scottish links golf courses inspired the front nine of the golf course, which sits on 200 acres of land and features six lakes, and holes are named accordingly: Troon, St. Andrews and Turnberry, for some examples. It's a different story on the back nine, which weaves through woods and was influenced by holes closer to home, such as those found at Augusta, Winged Foot and Shinnecock.
Book two weeks in advance to ensure you get on for a round on the Legendary Run golf course, and leave your metal spikes at home - there's no reason to worry, as, conditions permitting, you can take your golf cart off the path if necessary. A far cry from Cincinnati's recreational golf courses, this one requires a collared shirt (mock, if you must) and non-denim pants (shorts work, too). The pro shop will dress you if need be.
A bonus for eco-thinking golfers: The Legendary Run counts itself among the members of the Audubon Sanctuary Program and enforces respect of the natural habitat.

Love the course, layout is great
Pace of play was the only thing wrong. We played a 5 hour round and had to wait on every shot. The course was in great shape and the staff couldn't have been nicer.
Legendary Run
I thought the course was in very good condition and I got a great value thru Golfnow. I highly recommend it.

Great course, great conditions by 5.5 hours to play. Too slow!
hot deal not honored or helped
club had an outing scheduled but still had Hotdeal on golfnow. they didn't offer any remedy so we wasted 45 min drive each way and no golf so frustrating day. golf course and golfnow needs to do a better job on their offers, compensate folks for their time waste somehow. Waste my whole a.m.
Best all around value
First time playing here. Tee boxes were the best I've seen this year. Plenty of staff working on the course and it shows. Challenging course with nice variation hole to hole. I'll be back.
Great Course
Bunkers are a little thin with sand. That's it. Great friendly people. Great layout, great condition. And a great find on golf now that included lunch.

Course was in great shape. Pace of play was a little slow but not to slow.
What a gem
My group plays a different course every weekend and I always look forward to golfing here. The course is very challenging and always in great shape. The staff does a great job at monitoring the pace of play, but it can get slow. Tee off early for the fasted rounds.

Course in great shape
Nice greens, rough is thick, like it should be, fairways in great shape. And a good bratwurst at the turn!
Good place
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our round here. I really appreciate the rangers paying attention to the pace of play and they were very friendly. The course is in good shape and offers challenge especially around the greens. IMO it's a bit pricey for non-members, but I'm glad I made the trip and we look forward to a return visit.
Great southern Ohio course
Back nine definitely more challenging. Fun and challenging par 3s. Bonus hole 19 ends the round in a fun way.
If it's raining or has rained don't play
Understandably the course had cart path only in effect, but this is course's paths are a long long walk especially if you slice. I really liked the front 9 but the back nine seemed quirky and squeezed in didn't like it.

Beautiful course with a great layout. Course was in good condition despite a lot of rain. I will definitely be back.
Terrible Experience thanks to Mike Chandler
Will never be back thanks to the poor management and interpersonal skills of Mike Chandler (general manager). Grew up playing this course but what I just experienced was way different. Now I understand why they are begging for memberships and offering them at such a discounted rate.
3:20 minutes to play the front nine
I love this course usually but it took 3:20 to play the front. We jumped them at the turn and played the back in 2 hours. No rangers or anyone out to keep things moving. Ruined part of a beautiful day.
Intersting Course of 2 Different Nines
Appealing Course with a mostly wide open front nine and narrow tree lined back nine. Plenty of rolling hills, elevation changes, doglegs, some water and nice scenery. I was pleasantly surprised and recommend it for anyone looking for a decent challenge.
