Golf Club of Dublin
About
Although the climate gives away the location, the Golf Club of Dublin is a more authentic interpretation of the traditional links of its Irish namesake than most other replicas you'll find. The flat terrain, which was formerly a cornfield, was transformed into an enjoyable linksland layout covered with tall, sweeping heather and hundreds of yards of hand-stacked stone walls. The gently rolling fairways are generous and the classic, square-shaped greens are enormous and fast. In keeping with a true links golf course, there are nearly 80 steep, sod-walled bunkers waiting treacherously by the fairways and greensides to swallow up errant shots. Depending on the sun, the shadows cast over the bunkers can play tricks on your eyes, making them appear deceptively deeper or shallower. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes at the Golf Club of Dublin.

Nice course, poor value
How this course continues to charge over $60 per round is astounding. It's nice, but not that nice. But as long as people are paying it, they are charging it. The course offers generous fairways, tricky yet well placed bunkers, water hazards throughout, and a good mix of long, short, and medium length holes. The greens run smooth and true, but can be slightly difficult to read. I think they should run faster at this price. They're a bit on the slow side (probably like a 7 or 8 on the stimp). The clubhouse is a bit small, and the bar offers minimal snacks and drinks. The driving range is nice and the practice green is too. The rough here is actually penalizing compared to surrounding courses, which I love. Not a lot to say bad about the course but the price.
Great Course - Great Time
My son and I joined another 2-some and played an early morning round before things got too hot. The course was in great shape. Pace felt OK - short wait at each Tee Box. 4.5 hour round. Pricey - but worth it.
Been Awhiole
I usually play this course in the Fall, but decided to play in the Summer. Course was in excellent condition considering all the rain we had received over the past couple of days. The greens were in great shape and the fairways were wide open and green. I had a great time and will be back again
Well-designed, Stay Out of the Rough
This course rewards solid ball striking with large manageable greens and good short game opportunities. However, water is in play on most holes both on the drive and on the approach shot. The rough is maintained to be a real challenge for clean ball striking as well. There are several short holes that are markedly easier but most holes offer a significant challenge. Greens are well maintained.
Keep it on the course and you’ll have some fun.
Bad!
First off after paying 55 for a cart on a slow tuesday, they made me ride with a stranger. Also the greens were dyed to give a pure look which caused the ball to die on the greens slowing down the greens. I would not recommend playing here if possible.
Beautiful course and great value
The weather was windy and cold the day I played but i really like the course condition and lay out. Enough challenge with slope and greens but not a very difficult course. Beautiful homes along the course! Staff was very friendly and kind. Wish the golf bag drop and parking were a little easier. Found carrying my bag to the car was a bit much and cart wont go in to parking lot to drop golf bag at car. But overall would definitely return!
Good
If you can get it on a deal its a great course. Way too many old people play there and the pace of play is abysmal but the course is beautiful and in great shape.
Not taken care of
The course has been neglected and it shows in the poor status of the greens, fairways, tee boxes and bunkers. Greens were very ragged, tee boxes were uneven and mostly dirt/mud. Several bunkers were just mud pits. Far from being worth the ~$100 greens fee.
