Golf Club of Dublin
About
Although the climate gives away the location, the Golf Club of Dublin is a more authentic interpretation of the traditional links of its Irish namesake than most other replicas you'll find. The flat terrain, which was formerly a cornfield, was transformed into an enjoyable linksland layout covered with tall, sweeping heather and hundreds of yards of hand-stacked stone walls. The gently rolling fairways are generous and the classic, square-shaped greens are enormous and fast. In keeping with a true links golf course, there are nearly 80 steep, sod-walled bunkers waiting treacherously by the fairways and greensides to swallow up errant shots. Depending on the sun, the shadows cast over the bunkers can play tricks on your eyes, making them appear deceptively deeper or shallower. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes at the Golf Club of Dublin.

Tough, but fair
Great "Hotdeal" from Golfnow that I couldn't pass up. The course was in great condition, staff was wonderful. There was an outing that started on the back the same time we started on the front. Never got held up. Very impressed with the whole experience. Hopefully I can get a great deal again, because I would love to play here again, but not for $60.
Best Public Course in Columbus
I have been playing here once or twice a week since this course was added to the New Era Group. And I LOVE this place. From the staff, to the range, to the course...everything is top notch. My first time playing here, the starter went over the layout of the course, advised of water on almost all of the holes, and where the pins would be on the greens. It's nice to be treated like you're at a country club.
The course is in great shape. Some of the bunkers are in need of assistance, but that is the only complaint one may have. Fairways are in great shape. The rough is brutal, but it should be that way. One should need to keep the ball in the fairway. Greens are huge and in nice condition. They have been getting quicker over the past couple of weeks. Three putts are not uncommon here.
Great links style course
Very nice links style course with large greens. Heather and plush rough make fairway hits a must. Plenty of water hazards as well.
Nice local course
Great round of golf on a Saturday. Pace of play was excellent. Need to keep the ball in the fairway or you will spend alot of time trying to find it in the tall grasses.
A really fun course that's fair
Greens are rolling at perfect speeds. And the course has many birdie opportunities but can also bite you if not careful. Fun course to play a match with your friends.
Great value at $45 thru Golfnow.com
Great course layout and excellent greens condition. I played there once when it was Tartan Fields, and it's just as nice now as it was back then. The only thing that needs improvement would be to fill the bunkers with more sand and maintain them better.
Great layout. Great condition
Course was in great shape. Greens rolled great. Pace of play was just over 4 hrs.
Best Public Course Around
Absolutely incredible. The fairways are very plush and well groomed. The greens are absolutely enormous, difficult and undulating.
Deep bunkers don't make a "links" course, but...
the golf course is well worth the effort to play. Thick rough, some of it thick fescue, is similar to Irish courses, but isn't on all of the holes. The sod lined bunkers do add a sense authenticity.
We did get behind a group that took the opportunity to fish for golf balls during their round, and they got over a hole behind, forcing FOUR groups to wait to tee off of the ninth hole. Since I had an engagement to get to, we asked the marshals if we could jump ahead of the slow group. They allowed us to go backwards from 18 until we found the hole that they were on and played 13-18. I appreciate them for allowing us to do this. The rest of the foursome played 10-12 with no problem.
Since relatives live in the area, I will be back.
Tartan Fields is a different golf course. This has always been Golf Club of Dublin.
