Bridges - The Tradition at Firewheel Golf of Garland

About
The Bridges at Firewheel Golf Park is a 27-hole layout that has been a regular host of U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur qualifying tournaments. The course is comprised of three nines that can be played in different 18-hole combinations. The Tradition nine is the shortest of the three at just over 3,200 yards from the back tees. What it lacks in length, it makes up for with the rolling terrain. Golfers will face tricky uneven lies in addition to strategically placed bunkers and towering oak and pecan trees. There are also two creeks that crisscross through the entire golf course. They come into play on several holes. Not only does the Bridges provide three 18-hole courses, there is also Firewheel's original 18-hole Old Course, which was followed soon after by the 18-hole Lakes Course.

Awesome layout
Played this several times and it has always been in great shape. This time the bunkers were terrible though.
Great place to play.
You can never go wrong at any if the 3 Bridges courses. Greens and bunkers are always in goid shape. All 3 courses are challenging layouts.

Pace of play was okay for a Saturday. 4-1/2 hours.
Great experience
I've played the Bridges before but they have obviously embraced their brand. Richard Cosbie in the golf shop is a living legend who guided me through the whole experience. If you want a rare opportunity to play top notch bent grass greens within a story book bedroom community then The Bridges is your destination. I'll be looking for my next opportunity on GolfNow.
Great Round
Course was in great condition. Brother visiting from out of town really enjoyed the round!
Please Don't Punch Me
You'll like this course. I prefer playing the Champions and the Masters. Right now, the fairways are running fast. Bunkers are well maintained. The greens have been punched recently, but are still pretty hard and don't receive a good approach very well. So, so plan on an extra amount of roll out. This course is not too tight or too long for us duffers. Lots of fun.

Course was in good shape but greens had been recently punched so they were bumpy and slow. Otherwise great day.
Always in good shape
Great layout, fun, challenging and a good deal with GolfNow. The greens were aerated a few days before we played, but they still rolled very well.
Windy and cold but enjoyed
It was cold and very windy when we played. We almost second guessed our decision to play but glad we didn’t back out. The course has a very nice layout and is in very good condition. The greens rolled true. It will challenge all skill levels. I will definitely play this course again. I can see if becoming one of my favorite courses to play.

This course far exceeds any of the near by courses. Greens and farways were perfect. Much nicer carts as well.
Nice Day
For this time of year, the course was in great shape. Those were the best greens I have played in 2018. I wish more cities would develop a venue with 54 holes of play or even 36 for that matter. Bridges has always been the nicest of the 3 courses.
