Bridges - The Tradition at Firewheel Golf of Garland

About
The Bridges at Firewheel Golf Park is a 27-hole layout that has been a regular host of U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur qualifying tournaments. The course is comprised of three nines that can be played in different 18-hole combinations. The Tradition nine is the shortest of the three at just over 3,200 yards from the back tees. What it lacks in length, it makes up for with the rolling terrain. Golfers will face tricky uneven lies in addition to strategically placed bunkers and towering oak and pecan trees. There are also two creeks that crisscross through the entire golf course. They come into play on several holes. Not only does the Bridges provide three 18-hole courses, there is also Firewheel's original 18-hole Old Course, which was followed soon after by the 18-hole Lakes Course.

Great experience and good times!
Good times! The greens were challenging, but fair. Our twosome lost several golf balls in the middle of the fairway because of tree leaves, urgh! Good times anyway!
Good condition but need some water control management
Course was in good condition but something needed to be done with the excess water and mud...some sand or some flooding landscaping desperately needs to be done
Nice course, lots of ridiculous rules
You aren’t allowed to walk this course. Don’t go on cart path only days so give them 3-4 days after each rain before going.
There are three 9 hole courses they rotate two at a time for 18 holes.
Since you have to ride cart path only days are a chore and the wide fairways, while nice when you can drive to your ball are a pain when the ball is on the wrong side. The Champions course is nice with wide fairways, challenging pin positions, and hard greens. Masters has very narrow fairways and is a much harder challenge.
Decent Value for Dollar
About what you’d expect for <$40. Greens in pretty good shape with some challenging pin placement. Bunkers were in good shape as well. Main gripe is fairways were EXTREMELY firm with thin layer of grass. Hitting irons/wedges off fairways basically felt like hitting off hard packed mud with a thin layer of grass on top.
Wet and muddy!
We played yesterday morning and coarse was super wet and muddy on every hole especially around the greens! It hadn’t rained in Dallas since last week! Not sure why!
Never Disappoints
Course is in good condition for this time of year. Greens are really fast
Never Disappoints
Windy conditions but still a good time. Course is in good condition. Pace of play was good. Under 4 hours.
Great course and value
Played in 4 hrs on a Sunday morning. Course in great shape from box to green. Cant beat the value
Great Value
Played the front 9 as a two-some in 1.5 hours, back 9 in 2.5 hours. The foursome on the back were playing each hole on in 20 minutes on average and refused to allow us to play through. After barking at them they picked up the pace, with that being said, a marshal needs to monitor the pace of play. The greens were in great condition and the price was a good value. I would play it again.
I would play again
I really like this course and it was a great value. Greens were a little slow, but not too bad and there were some really wet areas on the course especially around the greens. Other players need to learn how to rake the bunkers. They were footprints everywhere. The two gentlemen in the pro shop were average at best but the starter was awesome .
I did enjoy playing it and will definitely play it again
