Firewheel Golf Park in Garland is home to the 27-hole Bridges Course, which is comprised of three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations. Opened in 2001, the course has been host to several U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur events. The nines offer plenty of variety, each utilizing the tree-covered rolling terrain in different ways. The Champion nine is the second longest nine. It features large putting surfaces and sculpted fairways lined with mature oak and pecan trees. You'll run into a fair amount of strategically placed bunkers on this nine. The Rowlett and Spring Creek meander through the entire layout, coming into play on several holes. In addition to the three 18-hole golf courses provided by the Bridges, there are also the two other 18-hole courses at Firewheel, the original Old Course and the Lakes Course.

Great course
First time playing Firewheel ! Where do I Start! Great course and very nicely laid out! Very challenging yet offers nice and wide fairways! Greens were prefect and challenging! Only negative is not at the course but at the people that is playing! If everyone fixes all the divots on the greens then we wouldn’t have to fix them before we played our shots!
For the staff! Keep up the great work it was a fun course and I will be back!!!
Phenomenal shape
Course was in phenomenal shape, greens rolled well, played in under 4 hours on a Friday.
Absolutely worth a visit
The course was in amazing shape. The Bent grass greens were the best in the area.
Friendly pro-shop personnel and right on top of things
All in all an enjoyable round of golf. The only negative was all the ball marks on all the greens, it was severe on every green! I get that it’s a public golf course, but they need to address this! Also, many of the traps were a mess, not raked and the bunker mess was visible! The pro-shop staff were great!!
