About
Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club offers two championship courses, the North and the South. Both courses sprawl across a verdant landscape covered with mature oaks, lakes, and ponds. The terrain is unusually hilly for Florida. Like the South Course, the North Course is undulating with a lot of movement but it has even greater elevation changes than the South, which provides scenic views of the surrounding community. On a clear day, golfers can see at least five miles to the northeast from the second tee. The North has a more modern layout that plays a little bit longer. Although the golf courses are nestled amongst rolling hills, Lake Jovita is situated just 30 minutes north of Tampa. The unique hilliness of the courses and their convenient location have made them some of Florida's must-play courses.

Course in great shape, couldn't figure out green speed/slopes so that contributed to many 3 putts. Will be back!
Pay up to play a nice course
It’s a little pricey to play here, but worth it. The North course has some really nice holes that are really framed well with the terrain. The greens are very fast and sometimes they can put the hole I some unfriendly spots.
Don’t play more yardage than you normally play because you won’t always be able to hit driver off of the tee box.
Excellent
This golf course is in excellent condition, pace is great, not too fast or slow. The food is amazing.
Awful pace
Course is improving a little more. Good tee boxes. Great greens and fairways. Didn’t love that 16 on the north was playing basically as a par 3.
Biggest issue was that it was a 5 hour round. At $150, I’d expect top notch everything - including a ranger moving the pace along.

Nice course
Very nice course, but! There is only one bathroom on the course, first time playing this course, there are no pics on the score card showing anything nor is there nothing at the tee boxes either, so if your playing this course for the first time you are playing blind. There is also not one ball washer on the course. This needs to change. The greens were very nice and lightening fast.
Excellent for the price
One of the best courses in the Tampa area, perfect location from major cities.
Course is excellent & the twice I have played throughout enjoyed it.
Jovita is best in srea
Lake Jovita never disappoints. Both courses are fantastic and always in great shape. Honest opinion, you if you golf Cabot and Jovita you’d never go back to Cabot on your dime
$140 was steep
All fairway bunkers were unplayable.
I understand the hurricanes caused damage, however $140, cart path only, and all fairway bunkers unplayable is robbery.

Please get an on course Ranger
We have played many rounds at Lake Jovita and most times it's enjoyable. However there have been way too many occasions where extremely slow groups have had 2 or 3 open holes in front and we never see Rangers speak to them or move them along.
Also the "Members" who seem to think it's OK to just jump on the course ahead of us on an open hole is excessive.
