Links of Lake Bernadette

About
The Links of Lake Bernadette enjoys verdant landscaping and a rolling terrain that are perfectly complemented by mature and towering pines. At 6,400 yards, the golf course is seemingly short but it feels like it plays much longer due to frequent doglegs that can be found throughout. Six of the par 4s play over 400 yards and a few par 3s measure over 200 yards, which also helps the course feel longer. Water hazards and bunkers come into play but they are balanced by large greens and wide fairways that make for easier approaches. Although beginners won't feel out of place and there are four different sets of tees, the golf course boasts several tricky holes that will challenge even the best players. One of these, the 163-yard 13th, was once called the best par 3 in Tampa Bay.

Needs a major refurb
Went out late afternoon to hit 9. Fairways were well maintained, tee boxes weren't horrible, but the greens were in shambles. Weedy and very slow and an exposed root ran through the 9th.
Bad bad shape!
My understanding is the course was recently purchased and I see a bunch of things going on, like clubhouse being painted but the course is in horrible shape.. looks like tractors have been driving down the fairways creating major ruts from tractor tires.. greens way overgrown. Many sand traps filled with sod that is now completely dead. I am hoping the new ownership means good things to come as this has been my go to everyday course but I think they need to concentrate on the course first instead of the clubhouse.
Depends
First of all the layout of this course is spectacular. Went through new ownership a few months ago and is going to need 2-3 months to get back into shape. As far as the conditions go now, greens are rough.. some are sad, but it’s still playable. if you’re picky or looking for a perfect course look further., after 3p for $20 why not. Good people, good GC
Worse course I ever played on
The greens were unplayable, like putting on a playground, traps in bad shape.
The worse part about the experience is that they charge full price and don’t tell the customer before hand about the conditions.
Oh boy
They are remodeling the facility but it appears they have completely let the course go. Tee boxes in bad shape, fairways very spotty, greens have large dead spots in them & what isn’t dead is shaggy, slow & very bumpy. I won’t be playing this again for a long time
Good course
Good course nice layout, large groups slow down pace obviously. The greens need some attention. Some very tough “roll” on what’s out there right now.
Rough shape
I’ve played this course many time for many years. Usually a good value course with fun layout, but currently in as bad of shape as I’ve seen. Greens are horrendous. I won’t be back for a while until they get things back under control.
Under repairs - hopefully will return to form
Greens punched and in poor shape. Fairways hit or miss. Needs some TLC to return to form to be a good course for the value again.
Great course
Our time at the course was good, however there were several instances of distractions while playing. When expecting a peaceful golfing day and then having random people drive through as we are teeing off, or hitting our ball, and children shouting while riding a golf cart made for a less than desirable game of golf.
Need on course restrooms
I tend to not want to play this course because of no restrooms are on the course, there are only porta johns which are not convenient for women.. Every other course I play have halfway point restrooms on each nine hole which are very important for golf playing women.
Rough Shape
One of my favorite places to play but in really rough shape right now. Hopefully ownership will get it back. Overpriced for the condition it is in
Not sure what’s going on but…
The course was in bad shape. They aerated the greens and did not warn you before going out. The greens were either sand or like a shag carpet. Neither rolled at all. Not worth the money right now.
To be fair, I played it a few weeks ago and it was in decent shape. Very disappointing round and I brought someone who had never played there who said they would never go back.
I like Lake Bernadette. The layout is nice and the holes
are different and can be challenging. I hope this is just a negative blip that they correct soon! I will give them another try in a couple of months.
Not Worth the Drive
My husband and I like to try out new courses, and I've seen this track on GolfNow for a while now. The staff was very friendly, and the clubhouse appeared nice, even though we didn't eat anything before or after our round. We paired with a gentleman who had played this course in the past and he said it was in pretty good shape compared to the last couple of years. The tee boxes were acceptable, as were the fairways, however, the greens were the 3rd worst I've ever played on, and I've played golf for 7+ years (a couple times per week). It does appear that they are aerating them, so hopefully they will be up to playable standards soon.
Not normal
5.5hour round and greens sandy, over seeded and could not hit ball hard enough to get it to the hole
