Abbey Course At St. Leo University, The

This course has excellent greens ! Tee boxes not so much but I don't care. Fairways leave something to be desired but if it is on a bad spot / I just move it as close as possible to a good spot .Every hole is different. Since I only have one arm; I am pretty proud of the fact I got my only double eagle on #6 a par five! 40 years of golfing and that is the only one. There had been talk of closing it but I am 100% happy they are not.

Rough shape Greens OK but other than that was a cow field except with less grass

Course OK to work on drives and putting.

From what the group ahead on the tee box said the course has been sold but the subdivision is being delayed for other infrastructure to be put in place.

No bunkers. Only one forced carry (and it's a blind shot to a 130 yd par 3). Four holes along the slope beside the highway have a lot of left (or right) lean, so it plays like a links course in some areas.

Greens are small (usually), elevated, and sometimes domed. so chipping and putting is tested. I've played worse courses for which I paid more in central Florida. At this time of year this is a huge value. The course is generally open, so a great place to learn. There are a few elevated tee shots so no matter what, the ball flies!

If it were closer to Kissimmee (it is about 50 miles), I would try to play it a couple more times before it's gone.

First time playing The Abbey, it is in good shape for how dry it is and for how cheap it is to play 18. IMO this place is a hidden gem. It’s a great layout, and a beautiful course. I will definitely be back!

Tee boxes were uneven with little to no grass, fairways were all dirt and weeds, greens were weedy and slow, and cart paths were the bumpiest around. On a positive note, I had some of my longest drives since the ball rolled forever on the hard ground. This is a beautiful piece of property so if only a ton of money could be pumped into it….

Totally enjoy playing here! Everything is low key. everyone is friendly. So glad it will not be sold for housing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This course is a hidden gem! It’s really wide open!

Course in very rough shape and that's to bad it could be very nice if manicured it's a fun course, greens are not to bad, no restrooms in little trailer pro shop , and Porta pots are discusting, at least get them cleaned out once in a while ☹️

We had not played the course in about a year and it was in better shape than the last time. The greens were in excellent shape, with the front nine faster than the back nine.
