About
Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club offers two championship courses, the North and the South. Both courses sprawl across a verdant landscape covered with mature oaks, lakes, and ponds. The terrain is unusually hilly for Florida. Like the South Course, the North Course is undulating with a lot of movement but it has even greater elevation changes than the South, which provides scenic views of the surrounding community. On a clear day, golfers can see at least five miles to the northeast from the second tee. The North has a more modern layout that plays a little bit longer. Although the golf courses are nestled amongst rolling hills, Lake Jovita is situated just 30 minutes north of Tampa. The unique hilliness of the courses and their convenient location have made them some of Florida's must-play courses.

Well maintained golf course !!
Great conditions, well maintained greens and fairways !! Love this course !!
Fun and Challenging
Fun and interesting course. Lots of variety. Course was in good condition, except for bunkers. Hopefully a bunker renovation is planned soon. Hardly any sand left…
Spectacular Course
Lake Jovita is one of finest if not the finest course available in the central Florida corridor. Both north & south courses are amaculate. Last week played the north, no better value for the cost, go play , it’s a gem
Lake Jovita North course
Great course fun to play back nine was very slow and dining facility for lunch was understaffed and did not have items on the menu, slow service.
Definitely would play this course again was in great shape and it’s fun to play.
Course condition is poor very expensive to play here
Bare patches on several greens fairways and bunkers in poor condition

Expensive and course in poor condition , bare patches on greens over seeded fairways ,no food afterwards
normally love to play here BUT wasn't alerted that it was CART PATH ONLY before I booked otherwise I would have avoided it. The course plays long to begin with for me so this made it terrible. There should be a warning on the website when the conditions aren't as expected.
Poor Communication
We booked through Golf Now and there was no communication from them that the course was cart path only. I am a senior in my 7o’s who was unable to cancel without losing my money as we arrived at the course less than an hour before our tee time. If I don’t cancel at least an hour before, I lose my money. Pass members should be notified of any changes in regular play. I was unable to finish my round! The rating reflects the no carts allowed on fairways and no notification. Had we been notified, I would have rebooked as this is our favourite course.
