About
Windy Knoll Golf Club is known among locals as being one of Springfield's best public golf courses. The course was built in 2001, though you would not be able to tell from its traditional links design. It manages to be a classic links golf course while still being a challenge. The site was originally a horse farm and the design incorporates some of the features from the terrain's former use. Water hazards come into play frequently throughout the golf course and there are trees and rough lining the fairways. Golfers will find many risk-reward opportunities on the course, one good example being the par-4 eighth. This hole plays into the prevailing wind and if you miss your drive, you may find yourself in one of the eight bunkers surrounding the undulating green.

Friendly professional staff. Great layout and challenging. First time playing the course, but will definitely be back for future rounds.
Play Windy Knoll
The course is in great shape. It is a challenging course - a lot of mogul-type mounds on either side of the fairways - so you need to be accurate off the tee box. During the pandemic one rider per cart - elevated cups. This is an awesome course.
Windy knoll always a great track
Dodged the cool spring temps and raindrops to have a perfect day ay WIndy Knoll today. The course is in great shape, traps are playable and greens running true and fast... we were a twosome following a foursome and were never held up. Introduced WK to my step Bro n law who absolutely loved the course....the staff were very good and hospitable, they always are... could not get over how good of shape the course is this early in the year... always a tear and well worth the almost hour drive to get here. Just like driving to Eaglesticks; I don’t mind the drive knowing the course is going to be a fantastic experience, as it was at WK today. Along with a very favorable Golfnow rate makes the drive a no-brained for me.....
Really good course
Excellent value - nice layout, decent conditioning, really nice new carts. I’ve had very good food service in the past, though it’s shut down for the moment. One suggestion, there needs to be some sort of yardage markers, in most holes you have no idea of the yardage.

Excellent time with friends. Course in good shape considering what’s going on. Love Windy Knoll and it’s definable windy.
Great Course
It had been a few years since I played it, and maybe because I had played it in the fall, but I could hardly recognize it. The clubhouse was closed but I’m pretty sure it had been renovated since, and the course was in great shape, especially from what I remember. Fun layout, tee boxes and fairways were in very good shape, a few bunkers needed work, and the greens were slightly aerated, but it’s early April. Especially when it was $15 on a Hot Deal time, you cant ask for much more. Great course!
Therapy 18 for Covid19
Gratitude for being able to play during the surreal Coronivrus crisis. The management is doing.a fabulous And creative job for compliance and safe conditions for players and staff. Never witnessed anyone breaking the directives of physical distancing. Thanks for helping so many’ to maintain their sanity.
Fun course
Bad condition right now due to aeration but normally very good condition. Greens are firm and fast. Lots of good holes...tight in places and lots of room in others. Overall, a fun course to play.
Love this Course
Windy Knoll is a very nice layout and somewhat challenging. It's not a long course but the holes are set up with doglegs, slopes with some hazards that make it a shot makers course. The staff is friendly and professional, the price is very reasonable and the course is always in great shape.
Windy day at Windy Knoll
Sun, rain, wind, doesn’t matter; I love this place. It’s the closest to playing a true links course you can get in central Ohio not to mention the Stable Bar & Restaurant is a great spot to hangout post-round and watch groups test their luck against the pond protecting 18 green.
Great fall day at the knoll
Spent a great fall day at windy knoll with a friend. The pace up to the 12th hole was fantastic. Then we ran into a brick wall. Not sure why. There were a number of two somes and one single in the procession. But, it seemed to just drag on, not sure why. Needless to say the scores reflected the slowdown and wait on each hole. This will not deter my affection for this marvelous course. The weather did not get out of the fifties even though low severities were predicted. A great price plus a reward made this deal very entertaining. Had a great day all things considered...
